seriously.... its scarey.. its a big book each thing is hand written, and it even has little stains, and spots on the pages, from drips and splashes when woman after woman has used it while cooking...
If you have way too many lemons, could I suggest that you get a bag or two full, and drop it off to your local church in the morning, the ladies will make jams and spreads out of them too. They sell them.

Lemon Curd, a lemony sweet spread
4 eggs 125g butter 250g sugar 2 lemons
beat the eggs in a basin, add the chopped butter, sugar and finely grated rind and strained juice of the lemons. Stand the basin in a suacepan of nearly boiling water and stir the mixure until it thickens, or cook it in the top of a double boiler. Pot into small jars and seal with vacuum linds and the lemon spread will keep well. Use as a spread on breads and scones, or as a cake or tart filling.
