I know someone who works for the comunist party, full time in Spain. Not that they have many members mind you,but they have 4 houses, and 3 cars. Not bad this communism lark is it?
Folks are funny. My father would not think of stopping and having a coffee if he was out somewhere, because he wont pay.He sees it as "free" at home.He will die with plenty in the bank, but is that what its all about?
I have lived here for 9 years, and get nothing of the Spanish goverment.Quite right. However,if i return to the Uk tomorrow, homeless, pennyless, and with children,i also wouldnt recieve anything, despite paying taxes since i was 16. Because i have lived out of the Uk for more than six months,i am classed as a foriegner, and would have to wait for 1 year before i could recieve anything, even for any children i had,if i had some. A British tax payer,a British subject...is that right?
It would be wonderful if te world could do something about the corruption and greed in thier own goverments.Stealing the aid money ect.Yes,the world could stop sending it,but, again, the innocent suffer.Sadly, its a circle.
I would,in those circumstances, wish to pay the bill. However,if it was going to be an issue,i would smile, and let you contribute, knowing you would feel more comfortable about it. On a date, then i would,in conversation, let the lucky lady know that i was going to take her out and buy her dinner.
People from all over the world put there hands in thier pockets and send billions of pounds in aid to these poor countries. They also supply doctors, teachers ect,and are always the first to assist,at a cost of millions in any natural disaster.I for one contribute, but it doesnt mean i am going to sell everything i have worked for,or feel guilty everytime i get in my car,on my motorbike,or spend money on myself.
