You are indeed correct that many classic comedy programs came from Britain.
Humour is much under-used, except in Government, of course. I mean, politicians must be having a laugh if they think we really do believe what they say ......
I was going to be facetious where you said about getting into bed from the left and doing things in threes, and ask if you got in, got out, then got in again, but it sounds maybe not something to joke about.
Now you come to mention it, 'As Good As It Gets' with Jack Nicholson has something along those lines - he can't step on the gaps between flags on the pavements (sidewalks) I think it may be.
I smoked from being 12 and quit a few years ago. Stopped stone dead, cold turkey - climbed the walls for bloody weeks - hardest thing I ever did, and I couldn't do it again.
But I don't mind smokers - only someone who's smoked knows how hard it is to stop.
My only stipulation is if there are youngsters in the room, take it outside.
