Danny, I don't know you and I don't know the female... but would you have felt it was lies if she'd stayed with you?
What I'm getting at is... were you perhaps expecting that you had paid for something more than a simple travel ticket?
Did you feel that by paying for her you were cementing the relationship?
Is it at all possible that she went with you hoping that things would work out between you, and during the UK trip realised that it wasn't what she wanted?
Or was she supposed to stay with you forever because you'd paid her ticket?
I'm laughing... because you guys are moaning about the height thing and yet you're doing the VERY SAME thing... talking about beauties. Are the only desireable women beautiful? What about smart or funny? Or big-hearted, or kind? Or is it really all about physical attributes???
Personally I'd like to find a site where there were no photos and no mention of height, age or anything physical at all... you had to just sort through the personalities til you clicked with someone.
I'm sorry but I think it's a numbers game, that's all. You have to say hi to loads of people at a party before you bump into someone who is going to turn into a real friend... and often you go to a party and you don't meet anyone.
It's the same here. You have loads of conversations that go nowhere... loads of people just disappear in the middle of what you thought was a conversation...
You just have to shrug and move on. The more people you chat to, the more chance you have of meeting a keeper!

It seems to me that food fads are a product of rich societies and sorry but IMHO vegetarianism is a food fad.
I have no time for dinner guests who announce over the aperos that they don't eat dairy/meat/fish/wheat/egg whites/grated carrot/cheese/bla... allergies are something else but food fads? Grow up.
