Saturday Night Losers

only if you promise to come to Canada!

Saturday Night Losers

Oops,

I see Lela has a guy, my bad.

Saturday Night Losers

Sorry (I am a Canadian), was that too honest?

Saturday Night Losers

Hi All,

Here we all are, chatting on a Saturday night, in front of a computer. If I had my way, and distance were not a factor, I'd be cuddling on the couch with Lela, watching a movie and be excited about engaging in the king of the indoor sports!

Thanks to everyone who responded. SF

Death of a parent

Yes, I hear you Best, but it is confusing at times.

Death of a parent

Thanks all. I feel okay about getting through the grieving part, I have loving family and friends.

I guess my question is how long should you wait to put yourself out there? I know what lies ahead, and I know that I can manage it with my supports. It is a much different experience losing a parent rather than a grandparent or aunt/uncle.

Death of a parent

Thanks Star.

Death of a parent

Thanks Best, and you are.

Death of a parent

My mother took her own life at the beginning of June 09'. I have spent these past few weeks looking after all the details of two estates and trying to grieve during the pauses. I met a woman online prior to this, and took myself off that site for a while. Just wondering how long a person should wait to pursue dating after something like this has happened. I have got my bearings back, but know that there is more to come.

RE: MEN!!!!

This was a very good post. Lots of truths about many different situations.

My daughter's mom and I separated, and when we did so, we agreed to keep our daughter's needs primary. Although we had some struggles in the beginning, we just kept making decisions and responding to one another, in a way that was best for our child. It was freakin' hard at times, for both of us. However, we are back to being friends, and our daughter is well adjusted.

I agree with Sommer, it is a two sided issue.

RE: For the girls if a man could play an instrument would that make him more atttractive to you ?

You are just so bad, you are good.

RE: LADIES BEWARE

I agree with Sommer,

You have to be safe but also be balanced.

Another example of this is my daughter delivering flyers, once a week. She is 11.5 years old and has a cell phone. She doesn't need the money, but we think it is important to instill a work ethic. She starts before I get home, but we talk on the phone and she knows about safety. Whether she is with her mom or I on any give week, we stop by while she is delivering. She knows lots of people on her route, because it is close to home.

Scary? Yes, because there was an 8 year old girl that was abducted and abused, about 30 miles from where we live. But you can't stop living.

Like many have said, you need to have a safety plan.

Nice post Butterfly.

You are welcome here, Pub.

I often wonder what it would be like to live in a world with people that were as nice and accepting as you. It would be a better place!

Hi Scorpio,

Hi All,

This site is fun, but it becomes silly at times. I stepped out of character on a forum last night, just for the fun of it. It was a distraction for the moment.

Not to speak for all of you, but most of us are just people that would like to meet someone and feel cherished, even if only for a moment. However, when someone posts a serious question, it is usually met with humour. It is all good, but still just a distraction from our hopes.

CS is a good venting ground.

You folks are the best,

RE: WOMEN WILL ALWAYS BE INFERIOR TO MEN

It all played out in the way I was told it would. Have a nice evening all, and remember, MF never had to admit to a darn thing. Interesting isn't it. Good night to her friends, and good luck with that. You are all saviours. Let me know how that works out for you?

RE: WOMEN WILL ALWAYS BE INFERIOR TO MEN

Look at all the defensiveness in the first part of your email.

Hmmm....

RE: WOMEN WILL ALWAYS BE INFERIOR TO MEN

X.

I would have never pegged you as a homophobic? I am disappointed!

RE: WOMEN WILL ALWAYS BE INFERIOR TO MEN

You attacked me again, did not apologize and made excuses.

Good on you sister.
