Yes, it is. And my sister was also composing music with her own lyrics on them and also poems. You do, too, Cuspo? Why don't you share some more of your poems to us on the poem's thread? It would be a pleasure to read them..
Here's another nostalgic song that reminds me when I had a terrible crush on my World History teacher. Gee, just to get a glimpse of him made my heart skip a beat or two.. and that was real! I wonder how many of the teachers we have here on CS have got students eyeing them with such adoration ..
Mine came when I saw the very picturesque travel documentaries on television during the NATO Summit in Malta that officially ended the Cold War in December 1989.
I think it is one of the loveliest island in the Medittarean sea, along with Rhodos and Cyprus -- places I promise myself to visit one day ..
Hi Cuspo That song reminds me always of my sister. She used to sing that with the guitar, along with the other songs you just posted. And this one, too:
Then I knew she was really in a serious mood ... and I would not dare pester her then (I loved doing that when we were young ). And boy, did she play it well .. but more like Carly Simons' style..
Oh, Lago.. you should not mind so much what we say about the speedo thing. You should stay where the crowd is, especially when you're going swimming on your own, so when a white shark starts to attack you, somebody can come to your rescue..
I must admit a baggy thing to swim with is not very practical.. .. it's like swimming with kimono on... yikes!
This song reminds me of the glorious mornings when I was young .. when I woke up with such a joy in my heart, basking in the glory of the morning sun, hearing the birds singing, sighing in contentment and humming in anticipation for another lovely day.. That's how I remember those mornings in our family home -- such feeling of contentment and peace..
Oh, you know what, I've had friends and colleagues who were from Seattle, and they said that our weather here is so much similar to Seattle's - the temperature, the rain .. oh, and the coffee, too.. that's where Starbucks started, if I'm not mistaken..
Ja, I know. I've actually developed an allergy to too much sunshine, would you believe. I've been living here for nearly 25 years. But this is now my home and I love it here. And the people, too.
To tell you the truth, I'm used to the gray Belgian weather. I love the Belgian weather -- gray, rainy, gray .. even my favourite colour is now gray. I'm already starting to miss it..
I think the Baileys is taking effect.. a double is a bit too much, I guess..
Thanks, Wooffy. Those pink elephant ice are magnificent!
Cheers!
Ha, yes, I know, but it's probably best I'll be back to work. It's airconditioned there. Too hot here .. esp. I'm on the top floor of a 12-storey apartment building. I like it here, but rather hot when we have a weather like this.
Are you complaining about the Belgian weather again? I thought you like it with sunshine. Now you get sunshine .. full blast..
RE: THE NOSTALGIA THREAD ......
Yess, indeed - you got it! And my sister's name is Lulu, too..Here's the original one for you
