Where is that flouncing waiter with a bedimpled smile? He's never around when you need him. I came here specially to see him flounce and he's not here..
Good to know, Sommer. It never hurts to check .. you'll never know
So you see, Sambha, you worry to much, my friend. That can also be a cause of all unimaginable ailments, you know..
I hope you're not one of those people who spend so much time watching their health that they haven't time to enjoy it.
I eat everything I like; ie. fish, meat, inorganic vegs and fruits; use cellphone and wifi -- and I don't have any health problems .. well, till now anyway. Could it be because I don't watch too much television?
Kidding aside, I think everything taken in moderation does not hurt anybody. Even poison taken on small doses can make your body get immuned to it. On the other hand, too much exercise can also hurt you .. for example. Moderation is the key.
If you can keep your head when all about you Are losing theirs and blaming it on you; If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you, But make allowance for their doubting too: If you can wait and not be tired by waiting, Or, being lied about, don't deal in lies, Or being hated don't give way to hating, And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise;
If you can dream---and not make dreams your master; If you can think---and not make thoughts your aim, If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster And treat those two impostors just the same:. If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools, Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken, And stoop and build'em up with worn-out tools;
If you can make one heap of all your winnings And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss, And lose, and start again at your beginnings, And never breathe a word about your loss: If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew To serve your turn long after they are gone, And so hold on when there is nothing in you Except the Will which says to them: "Hold on!"
If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue, Or walk with Kings---nor lose the common touch, If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you, If all men count with you, but none too much: If you can fill the unforgiving minute With sixty seconds' worth of distance run, Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it, And---which is more---you'll be a Man, my son!
Thanks, Imma. I'll be with a friend whose company I enjoy, so I hope we'll have a great time as usual. I think that's the secret of good vacation - good company. I never travel on my own except for job-related reasons.
Talking about jobs, it must require a lot of patience what you do. I admire people who have that virtue because it is not one of my strong points.
But you know, I understand very well how you feel about your loss. Even for people we don't love anymore, it is such a regret when someone passes away. All the more when they were amazing and brought joy into your life.
We can only remember the good things about them and move on with life and the living, with loving memories of them in our hearts.
You take care, Sass. Life is meant to be enjoyed. You have a positive attitude and happiness is there for the taking for those who see life that way.
Hmm, let's see if I can answer some of these. Difficult stuff..
I don't do any swimming. Because I can't swim. And my skin is allergic to chlorinated water. Not a good start, but it gets better
Favourite sport - tennis. I used to watch Roland Garros, Wimbledon, US Open, Australian Open, Sportpaleis events .. that sport can get my adrenalin pumping just watching it..
Favourite exercise - dancing, at home. Dancing to the beat and rhythms of Tina Turner, Santana, and Hotel Costes. Reason - I enjoy it and been doing it for as long as I can remember.
Sport I liked to do was karate. I tried it, but it was too strenuous.
True. I'm afraid I have to agree with Sxc, Sambha. Your current style is a bit frightening.
If Robert is right about the cover up, maybe you should show some tender, sweeter ..ok, that word is maybe a bit over the top .. more gentle (that's a better word) approach. No?
And you deserve to be happy, my girl. Don't know what happened to that thread with Robert, can't see it anymore. What happened? Anyway, I knew you mean well when you said that.. Sorry about your daughter.
RE: Where is the coffee shop these days???
OK, why not.. it's the end of my EIGHT DAYS vacation, so I may as well take a double then. It should be worth celebrating, isn't it, Wooffy?Baileys on ice, double please ..
