Hi Tartan, wave

Yes, I see what you mean. It generates such inexplicable passion, especially for men, probably because for those moments they can be just themselves without any care to the world.

Thanks for your input.handshake

RE: Lying about your age - is it acceptable? How much is acceptable?

C'mon, guiri.. do you think that everything that's indicated in everybody's profile is true?

And why is Perfectdream asking? It's not whether it is acceptable to other people that matters, but it should be if it is acceptable to HIM. What he truly feels about the other person.

I have met a few guys who were supposed to be younger than I am, and I've chosen to meet with them not because of their age. Almost all of them look older than their actual age. I did not ask if they lied about their age. I just didn't feel that special feeling, that's all. But if I did, it would not have mattered if he lied or not.

There were a couple of guys I corresponded who kept on saying they look much younger, so everybody tells them they say, but when I met them in person, they were not.

I met one who was supposed to be 5 years older than I am (I was excited because I would really prefer one older), then he looked already 85 years old and was trembling all over all the time. I was afraid he gonna die on me right there on the spot!

So I think it does not really matter if one lied about his/her age or not. It's how they actually look when you meet them that matters. And eventually how you click together. For me, in any case..

Now that I think about it, it's making me wonder if I am being drastic in not responding to men below 45..hmmm

Oh, I don't find it strange at all. I know men can't talk much about something they like so much. But the 'hey guys' was not meant for guys only. It was meant for everyone. I like to hear the wimmin's viewpoints, too, if they feel the same way as I do.

And the wimmin who like football, like Sass and Lillym.

Oh, I don't knit. But you can tell me that on our private session. My horoscope, guiri!!cheers

You don't play football, I presume?

Hi Ginger!

Thanks! It's very informative. That explains all these guys hugging and kissing each other then when their team won the game. But you know, it's not very easy for guys to answer why they love the game. I've already asked a few guys. All they say is that it is fun and that's it. I think they don't even realize it themselves. It just makes them feel good and that's it. When there's a football game, I am more fascinated watching these guys and how they react to the game. It's the time you see them in their most relaxed, most natural behaviour as men.

It has indeed positive effects on people's psychological well-being.. not very much, though, when their team lost the game ..

Good night!teddybear

Umm, and what game would that be, may I ask?

Anyway, I won't go running after a ball if there's a good amount of women running after it. They can all have it..

I want what is all mine.

Hello Captain,

I don't really understand what you mean with 'piss take', sorry.

I do understand, though, that sport is important. But what makes me wonder is why football or soccer is for most - a passion, for some - a religion. Some people love it and some people find it a waste of time... all that screaming their lungs out and pulling their hairs and rolling on the ground and men jumping into each other's arms and kissing their heads and the audience standing up and down in unison. Quite strange!

And there are those players who spit at or kick another player instead of the ball. And all those hooligans. Mainly English they say. But why?

Here's the scenario: All these men wearing shorts and glossy shirts with numbers on them, chasing a ball around a field. All they need to do is kick a ball into a great big net to score a point. It looks so easy, but sometimes they can't even do that! And then they run around for hours and when the game is finished, there's no score! And when one time you thought there is a score because you see the ball went into the net, you wonder why nobody is cheering and then there is this guy in blue or something with a hand up in the sky. And they start all over again..

Anyway, I think it's an ultra-macho game. But do you think there could be a chance that there are also gay players? Women do play them, too, you know. I've seen a UK film like that.

Do you ever wonder why inspite of its popularity, it is not an Olympic game?

Hi Lillym,

I'm not surprised about that. I have an American friend who is divorcing his wife because all she did all day when they were still together was watching soccer and soccer reruns and when he finally did get her out of the house and they would stay in a hotel, she would still be watching it on television. He called himself a 'soccer widower'..

No kidding!

Hi Liakos!

I could emphatize with you. So was I. I was always surrounded by women. Too overly protected. My grandma, my mom, my sister, my aunt, even the dogs and cats were females. When I went to uni, I stayed in a ladies' dorm. So I never understood much about this male bonding thing.handshake

Do you play any sports at all?
