All of us, as human beings, are connected. If we trace our ancestry back far enough, sooner or later, we will discover that we are related to everyone, what is called six degrees of separation. As we work the family tree backwards, we discover that are connected to millions and even billions of people all over the world. We are not islands rather all "part of the continent, a piece of the main" as Johne Donne the poet shared. The more arrogant and self righteous and better-than-thou we act based on our religious, or ethnic, or gender, or educational differences, the more we showcase our ignorance. We are all part of one family tree.. and those who awaken to that truth, are the ones who will help us as a race get past the 2012 doomsday prediction that I think is a bunch of BS.
i feel sick in my stomach if im driving behind an 18 wheeler..........or those big trucks with those big containers on them......i always fear something will happen.
i spent two years in nursing school on my way to becoming an RN...as much as i have great respect and admiration for that profession it wasn't what i wanted to do.....i was doing ti to please my husband (ex now) i ended dropping out on my final year.....and switched careers..been doing what i do now for 15 yrs and i love it......our joy and happiness is dependent on us no one health.
Everyone has something that they do uniquely well and often better than most everyone else. Our ability to find and "do what we love, and love what we do" is the singular most important variable when it comes to "success" in our careers and in life in general. As children growing up we are often discouraged from pursuing our passion and are "dumbed down" (so to speak) to do things that are practical, make sense, and are tried and true. That is the formula for a boring life. True living and true adventure comes when we dance to our own rhythm and follow our heart's true desire. I hope there is something that inspires you to risk giving up the mediocre life for a great life. Why not?
