Hey PB! Although I was in Alaska for too many years to count, I did not have to experience the sea lift as I was in one of the big cities; but I did get to experience the sea lift when I lived in Micronesia and the excitement of the ship docking right behind our house practically and running with the all children to the docks in the little bitty "city" and getting treats from the crew was something I will always remember! I also remember my father paying $60 for two fresh green apples just so my siblings and I could some fresh fruit that was not citrus....

Thanks for bringing back some happy memories!
