I've started taking a Tai Chi class at college. I was just wondering if anybody on CS does Tai Chi. If so, what benefits have you received from doing it and what do you know about it.
Had one of the mechanics follow me around at my old job all day long. He wouldn't leave me alone. Finally I got my supervisor to come over and get me away from him.
So.....I run off to break and I'm sitting with my buddies. One of my guy friends has a farting toy. It's something you squeeze and it makes the farting noise. We are sitting at the table and guess who comes in.....yep this mechanic. So, the guy is just standing over me at the end of my table and will not go away. My friend takes the farting toy and discreetly places it behind me and lets it rip.
Everybody, except this mechanic, is trying to keep a straight face at this point. Well, my friend just goes crazy with this toy and finally the mechanic walked out. I thought I was rid of him....right?
NO.....he finds me out on the floor later and starts back to talking....me trying to keep the conversation brief and give him the idea that I'm really not interested and I need to work. He doesn't get it......so here comes my friend with the toy and .......well, lets just say that I was in tears after that.
I check my messages on my phone the other day.....guess who? Yep, the guy has found my number through information. I'm changing my number tommorow....really!
I like using the Oil of Olay body wash. It's reasonably priced and has different scents. It also works good for my skin.
I use Avon products for my face. I don't wear makeup, except for a little eyeliner and lip gloss at times. My grandmother always told me when I was a teenager that if you wore a lot of makeup it would make you paler. She was right. I use a good moisturizer and just let the natural come out.
Obsession is my favorite perfume. Sometimes I even splurge and get the body wash. I always get compliments about the smell. It seems to compliment my body chemistry well.
Yep Things have gotten so out of control there that the state has passed a new law regarding checking statuses of people they believe to be illegal immigrants (unauthorized immigrants). We've had some threads in the forums about it.
Gary, the best thing you can do is talk to her while she cleans the kitchen if she doesn't want you to help. Or listen to her talk.....just be there and out of the way.
I was just sitting here thinking the same thing. Comparing Arizona to Finland .......well, no comparison. Arizona has a lot of issues with illegal immigrants coming in from Mexico. A lot of them which are in gangs, smuggling drugs. They are taking over neighborhoods. Trying not to get too far off topic here, but the people doing the shooting are not suppose to even be in our country. If we can't control them coming into the country, we are not going to be able to control them carrying a gun. Hopefully some changes will take place there soon. Could be somewhat of the same situation in California, too.
A walk through my woods would heighten their awareness of the need for that tool. If you go hiking or riding without some kind of protection you are playing Russian Roulette, especially during the Summer months.
I had a friend from the city ride his Harley down to my home one night. He got to my door and said, "Thank God I didn't fall over on the bike. Something probably would have reached out and grabbed me."
I think people missed your point entirely. I feel the same way you do. We don't have guns around here to kill one another. We use them to hunt food. We also use them as means of protection against wildlife.....bear, mountain lion, wild dogs, etc.
Why would I need a handgun where I live at if all I want to do is hunt? Well, when I go hiking or riding horses, the rifle is just too big to pack. You can place a handgun on your hip, some in your pocket depending how they are designed, then if you run into anything threatening, such as bear, mountain lion, wild dogs, etc. you are protected. Mace just pisses them off.
Guns are used for more than killing people. A lot of you have a hard time understanding that because you are not accustomed to different lifestyles. Stay one day at my home and you will understand why we need our guns.
The dog listens well. That's more than I can say for most of the men I've dated. Plus, I can holler at the dog and he turns over, shows his belly, and puts his feet in the air.....okay, I'm stopping now before this is taken out of context.
Tai Chi
