I think that men or women who say that should get a better life for themselves with better people in it. We can't control other peoples behavior but we can control how we react to them.
If they dislike the men in their lives so much that they need to call them pigs, then they should get rid of those men and get better ones. Men they can love and respect. There are such men.
I was a sad child. I got over it. I'm a happy camper now. I didn't want them to win and if I let them break my spirit they would have won. I was a little scrapper. Probably still am.
Yes, I too feel reluctant. Some of it was how I was raised...to let the man make the first move. I know times have changed but I really haven't.
Sometimes I have emailed or flowered a few gentlemen and some have not responded but I look at it as their loss. I don't want a man that doesn't adore me anyway. I'm sure we will both find the right one gal. Hang in there.
I tended to do that more when I was younger. Now I feel life is too short to suffer so I speak my mind and/or walk away. Works for me. No stress that way.
Yes, New York City. No offense to New Yorkers but that place is wayyyyy to big for me. I like smaller cities. I guess it's the Native American in me. I want to see the trees and feel the grass under my bare feet.
I think you are joking but since I'm not sure I will give my opinion. I think that is a cold and heartless way to look at someones grief. That is assuming they are grieving and not happy to be out of a miserable relationship. So I will just believe that your cousin was really joking and laugh along with you.
RE: What do you think about the statement "men are pigs"?
