I think an online relationship is a way to get to know a person, a REAL relationship must begin with meeting a person for real, if a connection happens after that meet then fine, if it doesnt then i think a person should just put it down to experience and maybe take internet dating for what it is, a chanel for communication. One has to be careful and selective as there will always be the "Walter Mitty" types in both male and female...JMO

And that is what life should all be about, sharing and helping others less fortunate. A couple of years ago a young man knocked my door, he told me he was homeless and asked if there were any jobs he could do to the outside of my home, clean the windows, check the guttering for leaves etc. I gave him 5 pounds and said no, i dont have any jobs but good luck. I saw him knock many doors and come away with nothing, but there were a few who gave. £ months ago that same young man knocked my door, he wanted to return that 5 pound i gave him, seems he had got himself on his feet, got a job and was doing very well. I told him to keep the fiver and only come back with it when he made his first million. Sometimes we have to forget how fortunate we are and help others,

Hi Sol,i would say that folk give it their best shot on here, but, it is really no substitute for a relationship outside of here. Folk will always take a "look in" at the good friends they have made, but, will eventually go back in the "real world" cause internet dating is a form of escapism JMO....
