yes I suspected that gun control would be a perception to deter some from other countries. the reality is that I have never seen a handgun or any gun outside of a storage cabinet in all my years as an American....lol
Ireland is a nice choice too! It is also on my list with Britain in general. I'd especially like to go to Scotland and from there travel a little. I'd like stay in the Hebrides. - not be able to understand the locals could be an issue tho
Thank you. China is definitely one of my choices. Possibly it is my top choice. The difficulty is where in China? It's a large country. Others in my list are Bangkok, Jakarta & Hong Kong.
probably the latter, and they may not be such a bad thing for awhile anyway, lol. Who knows? Maybe he will pull in some chutzpah and show some leadership and work with Congress....I am not sure that he is not too far "out there" idealogically to be able to do that tho'
that is totally awesome! Welcome to US Government! I hope you enjoyed your stay. I was sincere when I said I think people in your home country have bigger problems than our elections. Because I think they do. That section of the globe is under a lot of pressure right now. Best thoughts go to you
I did not know a lot about Mitt Romney. I think someone told me at the time that Obama would probably win because the idea of giving him a chance to succeed was a better prospect than the unknown darling of the 1% ers. So I have heard your sentiment before.
What I would like to see is more diversity in Party politics....the assumptions that the GOP is the party of the 1% and the idea that the Dems are all bleeding hearts who want to sell out the middle class is not helping. Obama went too far into a Socialist agenda platform that caused too much pain to middle class America (as far as the economy). Most other issues with him can be related back to that point IMO. That is the message of this midterm election, IMO.
more power to them....they also have a cooperative farm out in the heartland somewhere. Productive activities are a better protrait than voter intimidation....
not quite....tho...lol, yes that does happen sometimes. I voted for my Governor because he is doing a good job and that should not be overrun by party lines. I don;t care if the contender was a democrat or a martian, I like how the imcumbent is running Ohio for the most part.
For a Gov., I look for fiscal responsibility and I see it with the incumbent. The only issue I have w/ our Gov is he could be a little stronger on the environment, but even there he's OK. I just don;t like the lake Erie wind project and I favor local frack regulations.....but I digress....
So while what you say is true sometimes, we will also vote to keep those who are doing a good job.
That's why I cannot for the life of me figure out how Obama won in '12
I think the message is loud and clear. We are not happy with Wahington and it trickled down to the local elections. We had a gubernatorial election in Ohio 2nite. I voted for a Republican Governor for the first time in my life.
brit, especially english, is some of my favorite, it's so wry. I love Monty Python, and the old serials Fawlty Towers and Have You Been Served. Movies that took place in London are some of my favorites for the humor - Bridget Jones and Love Actually. I think the Beatles are funny too in their interviews.
There is some English guy who reviews cars on U Tube who is hilarious - forget the name ATM
American humor is a close second. Thanks for the post Harryonline
try using the search criteria to match someone who is looking for a younger man. Try chatting a bit on here and emailing someone you get on with. BTW most if not all older women are onto the usual excuses silliness and games that younger men want to play and usually are not interested.
Where would you...?
