Chupacabra? Thought THAT was found in Brazil/S. America? Yes. I still believe in God. Also believe our values have gone down the toilet. Can't say "Sad World", it's not the world, it's the people in it.
I heard a story once that went like this... A man found a genie in a bottle and the genie offered one wish. After much deliberation the man said," I've always wanted to go to Hawaii, but I'm afraid of flying and if I go by boat it will surely sink. How about a bridge from here to Hawaii so I may drive?" The genie replied, "Have you any idea how much concrete that would require? How many lives would be disrupted, not to mention the damage to the eco system?" "You're right," the man replied, "that would be selfish indeed." After more thought the man said, "Well, I've just gone through my second divorce and I would like very much to just be able to understand a woman so it won't happen again." The genie replied, "Do you want that bridge one lane or two?"
Quite simply because some of our "representatives", feel that is an option. One county I know of conducts regular round-ups to get the homeless out of their county such as was done in all the county areas surrounding Atlanta before the olympics.
Thanks for posting...in my city alone..a small mid-western town, we have most of the businesses standing vacant, the three big auto makers closed their plants here and many are loosing their homes.
You are sadly correct. I work with the homeless, assistant director of rescue mission, we have a shelter for men and a seperate one for women, we are hoping to obtain a building to open a shelter for families in the future. Whatever you give to a homeless person might just save their life. True some spend it on booze, etc., but you still have the satisfaction of knowing you tried to help. Sadly, most of our residents are veterans. God Bless You.
Why do we guys always look at a woman and judge her looks first? I've seen lovely women who were all ugly inside and I've seen those who may not be 10's, but their inner beauty overshadowed anything else. Am I the only guy who sees this?
