If my daughter sent that to me I would be bawling. I'm glad it brought you happiness.
So far, Lostrebel is the only man that has received a gift that brought him to tears.
If there are men reading this thread, who had an emotional moment when someone gave you a special gift, I understand that you might be uncomfortable telling us that you have a soft side to you.
I'm willing to bet that the majority of the regular men who post in the threads have had a tearful moment when someone gave them the gift they always wanted.
What a beautiful story Smile. I am a mother and I know how your dad feels when I can be helpful to my daughter. Don't take that away from him even though you are a businesswoman.
OMG Merk, that must have been a truly emotional moment. She is a very thoughtful lady. And I bet when you look at them now, you remember back to that day when she gave them to you.
My hormones must be working overtime.....As I read your post, it brought tears to my eyes. I'm happy for yo Maisie that you have the photo. It was nice of your sister to do that for you
What was the last gift you received from someone that brought tears of happiness to your eyes.
I don't mean that he/she gave you a divorce.
It doesn't matter if it was from your "ex". At one point there were good times with him/her. The focus is on the gift, not the person.
Please share with us the gift you received that surprised you to the point of emotion.
I collect Marilyn Monroe photographs. A few years ago I saw a black and white photograph of her that I wanted but it was out of my price range. My daughter knew that I wanted it and one Christmas morning I opened a box, that looked like a shirt box, and the photograph was in there. There were other people in the room and they thought I lost my marbles when they saw me choke up with tears rolling down my face over a photograph of Marilyn Monroe.
Actually, I do remember my first love. When I was a teenager, my church we had a group called "Teen........" can't remember the rest of the name. He was the first boy I had eyes for. We used to neck in the supply room before church started. It never got any further then necking. I met up with him about 15 years ago online. Unfortunately, it appeared that he is happily married. I have fond memories of him.
Now, let's get down to some serious business. By any chance, are you selling some of those stop smoking patches? I need to get DR off the smokes. And I haven't had my DR fix today
I turned it off because the only time I am on CS is when I'm at work. It's bad enough that I'm playing on a work computer. It's doubly bad when I keep getting interrupted with IM messages. It's a nuisance because it is much like the telephone. The phone rings, and rings and rings insisting that you answer the call. Same thing with IM. If you don't respond, the person keeps sending the message insisting that you respond
Awwwww gee whiz, DR, I know you're not an ashtray (would never hurt your feelings) but no matter how many mints a person eats, their breath still smells. You're still my favorite after my daughter
uh oh I guess I didn't check your profile thoroughly. Sorry DR, I don't like my clothes and hair to smell like smoke nor do I want to kiss an ashtray. Can we still be friends? If you ever need a partner on that bank run, I'll be wearing a mask so I can deal with the smoke.
ML, I can't lie. Menu2 is a smoker and I don't want to be in that environment. Also, he's looking only for intimate encounters, and that's not my cup of tea. He is cute and the black spot in his "bread" as he wrote, is also cute, but no can do with smokers. I know people are going to jump on me for saying this.........so be it
Sorry, couldn't get back to you sooner. Fedex hasn't arrived so I'll have to continue to shop. Give me time to go back in the thread to see who wants to be ordered
It's snowing again so I guess that's why my Fedex order didn't come through with DR
I thought neither rain, nor snow nor sleet would hold up the mail. Maybe I should have used Pony Express. Fedex guarantees 10:30 delivery. It's 9:30 now............I'm waiting
I watched a program last night on National Geographic that Isaac Newton predicted the world will end in 2060
Commentators this past New Years Eve were saying that people won't be able to wear those oversize eyeglasses on New Years Eve until 2060 because for the past 10 years there were two zeros on the glasses and now there's only one zero. Now I can sleep at night knowing that 2012 isn't the end of the world the oversize glasses will come back in 2060
Okay, but not my bank I'm also tired of being poor AND I'm still working in this ungrateful law office. I want to retire. One bank hit would do the trick.
Let's hit one of the banks that ripped us off by getting a stimulus package.
Where will we go with all the $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
Although, my daughter is a police officer so I don't think I can rob banks and gas stations.
Can we do something else
How about we go to the range. You can teach me to shoot targets. When I was married my husband and I would shoot beer cans in the water. That was a loooooooooooooong time ago so I need new instructions. You'll have to put your arms around me so I hold the rifle accurately
The gift that did it...
