RE: My Cats

Nice looking dogs. Very calm and well mannered I bet.

A question from my younger brother

There must be a middle ground though. R and I have both had to be care takers for each other in times of crisis as well as for friends.

If someone is a user I see it as being different than someone who needs much help for short or long duration.

Just my thoughts.

A question from my younger brother

My Dad's first wife never appreciated him. Their son did.

My mother always appreciated him, as did Dunc and I. Mom says she would not have survived without him and all he did for her.

JT's (our older brother) wife suddenly seem much more human. She's taking a real interest in their kid as something more than a possession and is even civil to our family most of the time.

I'm not sure how much appreciation D got. He seems to go for immature people.

RE: My Cats

I just skimmed the thread so maybe someone already suggested this.

Could it be that this is a round about way for them to harm your pits if they understand the risk the rats pose to them?

I like a well trained pitbull. they are very good dogs if raised right. Some people though don't understand that. The same sort of people that don't understand it is wrong to steal someone elses cat.

RE: I wish CS was eliminate POLLS

I like the ones that are a joke. "How many (fill in the blank) does it take to change a light bulb?" type things.

I have a serious job, there are many serious issues in my life. There is no harm in a little dumb fun now and then.

RE: Do you think single life is a better lifestyle?

Too bad more people are not willing to learn.

I'm a slow learner some days but in the long run it is worth the work and the effort. Finding another person that you can work with and who can work with you is important too. When the passion fades it's ever so nice to have someone you still want to be with.

RE: If you could relive one day of you life ?

A summer day seven years ago I spent with R. Everything from making breakfast together in the morning, to hitting the yard sales later through watching old movies and falling asleep on the couch that night seemed just right.

RE: Theology/God/Whatever is unnecessary

I am very sorry I misunderstood you. I should learn not to try to read after my eyes start twitching. Comprehension takes a severe nose dive about then.

RE: could a relationship between an agoraphobic and a non-agoraphobic work out?

I used to VERY agoraphobic but through work with a counselor who would get me out there I was able to beat it. We started out slow, just a trip to a pet store. After that it was to a farm to see some baby bunnies they had.

After that we just kept builing up until I was able to deal with it on my own.

So now after only twenty years therapy I can pick up one of the fuzzy, cutesy-wootsy agora bunnies without feeling like the basset hounds hell are chasing me.

Next I'm going to work on my fear of crowds.

RE: If you were desperate for food, and didn't have any what type of road kill would you eat?

I have heard the same from police and EMTs. Moose are massive.

RE: If you were desperate for food, and didn't have any what type of road kill would you eat?

MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM-MOOSE!!!

Sometimes deer get picked up pretty soon after they are hit by a car or truck.

RE: You know what gets me?

Have you noticed how many of the people that trash the US are ones that want something from the US?

Worst of all are the ones in our own country that think everything they want is something they need and often don't give a damn about those that really are in need.

Now watch them come pouring out of the trees to justify cheap cable TV being a human right.

RE: GREAT WORDS OF WISDOM? Just for fun.

RE: Faith healing

R picked Brinkley for a reason. Your boys combined have nowhere near the following "Goat Gland" did in his prime. He was admired as much as you admire your heroes by a great many people.

Let me help you sort this out.

Your nonsense was amusing for a while. Playing the spiritual man just like the boys we'd laugh at in college playing the same game to try to seduce the girls just out of the house. Part of what made it so funny was all of the other college kid nonsense you'd spout about women, drinking or whatever you happened to find fascinating about yourself at the moment.

Serious Peter Pan complex going on there SF.

Admit it, wouldn't you laugh and shake your head at a 37 year old man playing the same game?

Even the fumiest jokes gets old after a while. When you started being so smug and rude to some nice people on this thread Rose stopped laughing. No, you were not doing things any differently that you have in the time we've been laughing at you the entire time we've been here.

You were just being yourself.

Like I said before. Every joke gets old after you've seen it enough times.

Can you understand yet?

RE: Formal Date what do you wear?

Evening wear, I have long dark (almost black) violet dress with a floral pattern in the weave and has a matching jacket.

For warm weather day time functions silvery gray silk dress I got a fantastic deal on at a place that was going out of business we wandered into on our way back east in 07. It looks like some of the 40s vintage clothing.

In winter months I'll just wear a suit no matter what time of day the party is. You have to keep warm.

RE: THE PALM READER

My brother sent an email saying how lonely he felt without anyone so I just sent that one to him. THANKS!

RE: Faith healing

Thank you for the kind words. My Dad educated us on cons and con artists from the time we were little. Some of the gags as he calls them have been around in one form or another for a very long time.

The basis of much of the fake spiritualism is to make the mark feel like they are special as they hold some secret knowledge or at least can for only...

RE: How do you feel about death?

The whole subject leaves me rather cold. Coincidentally, death would leave me rather cold as well.

But seriously folks...

I have no fear of death. I'm just in no rush to have it happen. I've got family and friends I love. My life is very satisfactory at the moment and even if things do get hard I have plenty of people who will be there for me and, I want to be there for them for a long time too.

RE: Faith healing

Sadly though if someone buys their line, tickets to their lectures. books, DVDs, secret decoder rings, etc they are not going to believe the truth.

What I love is when they tell me I'm a fool for believing what I do instead of believing as they do.

Ohhhhhhh, Mama likes!

RE: Who is in your Photo... ???

From left to right, my mother, my dad, Rose, me (holding our cat, the REAL Katt), Rose's mother, father and grandfather, my half brother, his wife, their daughter, my younger brother, the UPS driver and the ghost of Dizzy Gillespie.

I'm not sure who the kid with the fish is. He just kind of wandered in when the food was ready.

RE: Does lenth matter or thickness?

Too many thick headed guys have been asking this question for too long.

RE: Stephen Hawking: God did not create Universe

Part of the problem is the huge number of frauds in both groups. There was a poster on the site a while back that claimed to be a former pastor but had no understanding of some of the basics of Christianity. He was an out and out fake but did not let that keep him from spreading the hate.

Likewise there are plenty of scientists with high school diplomas. The copy and paste at best. More often they assemble their arguments from bits and pieces that often include the plots of movies.

How long until you and tinypixie meet?

RE: Kung Fu

No but growing up with cops around I did learn some basic hand to hand combat. Mainly restraints and handcuffing techniques when I was in my teens. I did a little jujitsu but wan never as good at it as I would have liked. My mom could flip me like an omelet in practice.

RE: Woman Palaba

Well if they didn't you'd have to share them with other guys.

You could always cheat with other guys but going by your profile you appear to be hetro so that really would be a dirty trick to pull on them wouldn't it?

RE: Stephen Hawking: God did not create Universe

I saw a movie a while back and part of the story line was that a Chinese warrior was to kill a Demon and as his reward he would be released from the cycle of reincarnation. He didn't do it though because his love interest would continue to be reincarnated.

The woman though turns out to be also in love with his friend whom the woman assumed had dies years before.

So, hundreds of years later everyone was reincarnated in Finland and the Demon inhabited the body of a modern Finn.

All in all a sweet, sad, strange movie.

If I were to come back as a cat undoubtedly my cat would own me and get even for all of the times I was late with her food.

RE: Stephen Hawking: God did not create Universe

You are posting the same BS the other little boys in your crying crew have been posting. All without citing any hard data to prove your point. Maybe you ought to do a little research on what faith based charities have done world wide?

Expand your horizons while you're at it. I realize that is is easier to parrot the same trash talk your little friends do about Christianity and on occasion Islam but there are plenty of other beliefs out there for you to spew your ignorant hatred towards.

Here's a link that will give you enough basics to form rudimentary prejudices:

BTW: Water borne dysentery has killed far more people than all religious fanatics combined. Why not scream hatred against ponds and streams instead?
