RE: "The Question Game"

Yes I have - a few times covering "tabs" at restaurants as I walked out the door,....but never at Timmies! lol! A few times at work when I saw someone piled up,....I would wait until they left and then get it done,.....for this, I was eventually "discovered" and thanked,....but some restaurant cover-offs,....well,....I knew they enjoyed it,....but the selfish part of me wished I could have seen their faces! Oh yeah,....I once saw a vehicle behind me with Kentucky plates behind me at the gates of Jasper National Park,....so I "bought" them a pass,.....Welcome to Canada! (I noticed they didn't have a tag displayed)

Okay,...have you ever been a recipient of someone paying you forward?

RE: Who believes in the Secret? (The law of attraction, Universe) Do you believe it really works?

In regards to the concept of a scientific "law" of attraction? Yes. To the "new Age" postulation that "reworks" Plato's "Law of Affinity? No, I do not believe.

RE: your daily average driving speed is

Yes,...sensible,....but not what I really want to do!wink

RE: your daily average driving speed is

LOL! Actually, a very complex calculation depending on road load, vehicular weight, drag, revolutions per minute, engine efficiency, engine design...etc, etc,...yet,....you will be hard pressed to finf ANY government site that will state this,...its always slow down to save fuel (but if you don't we will gladly ticket you and reap the benefits!) Every engine has an "optimal speed versus time factor,....

RE: your daily average driving speed is

LOL! Trying to keep my insurance rates down,....so I ALWAYS drive the posted limit,...if road conditions allow it (yup, I read my driver's manual!)

But there was a day when I owned a 426, well, I used to break the limit a bit,.....love the sound of hemispherical!!!

RE: When frying chicken you use

Yes, like many other genetically-modified plnts (ie' corn, petunias, potatoes,....ad infinitum), "heritage" strains are still preserved (despite Monsanto's attempts), yet, they struggle to maintain themselves against insects, disese, etc, which have evolved attempting to defeat the "supposed" advantages of genetic engineering.

RE: When frying chicken you use

Yeah, there are many delicious ways to prepare chicken,...but if we are talking fried I, being North American, use corn, canola, or some similiar veg oil (never been a true fan of olive oil),...OR,...if I really want taste,....crisco, lard,...real animal, artery clogging, trans-fatty, government will have to regulate fast-food industry, pan lubricants!

RE: Random thoughts

Was just having a "bad"day m y fellow Canucks! Gonna hang around a bit more!

RE: FEAR

I too, have been down some "fearful" roads,....fear to any individual is something they must learn to comquer on their own,....some lose the battle, others maintain a truce, and then ther are some, who win the battle! And since it is an individual battle, only you can make the call as to who or what has won!

Glad to hear you gave fear a game misconduct penalty and kicked it out of the game!

RE: <<<...IMO the songs of ABBA can teach you lessons in life....fact t me...>>

Back in the day I actually heard 2 rumours about ABBA;

1. They couldn't, or at best poorly, speak English and sang all of their songs phonetically

2. They were at one time, so popular, that they accepted payment in commodities (grain, oil, etc) as a way to defer taxes!

Whether true or not, like I said, some songs really stuck in my head!

RE: <<<...IMO the songs of ABBA can teach you lessons in life....fact t me...>>

rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing In their day, they WERE the No 1 band on the planet! Saw them live twice (once obscenely close to the stage and couldn't help but notice two members!!wink). I do not like all their songs, but some of them stick in my head to this very day! (Yeah,...their commercial success with Waterloo comes to mind - but WHAT a SONG!!) One of my good friends LOVED ABBA and the Beachboys,...and go figure, now he rides with the Hells Angel's!

RE: Write a country or city name beginning with the last letter of the one above

Killam (Alberta, Canada!)

RE: post a song you never get tired of....

I have no idea as to why, but from the very first time I heard it, I was hooked!

RE: fire in the sky- movie

At first I thought this thread was about an incoming asteroid,...but then realized it was about a movie that I have not seen! The trailer looks interesting, so maybe I will give it a look.

RE: Geography

So very true. A scammer who doesn't take the time to research is easy to spot,...but those who research can indeed be "tricky" to spot!

RE: Should CS be just for singles?

Alas,....you put forth sound reasoning,....yet,.....I have been BANISHED! For if I am not single and wishing for connection, I must move on. How can I argue against those who are single and wishing to be connected (thereby immediately banishing themselves should they get connected). Ergo, this site belongs to those who cannot, or for whatever reason, will not ever get connected.

Signed, fellow potential axe-mudering buddy,...

Evolution

Nope.

RE: Should CS be just for singles?

Then I shall delete my profile,........and may you do the same should you find someone.

cheers

RE: Should CS be just for singles?

Then are you suggesting a person should never enter a tavern, a lounge, a concert, a conference, a library, a road-rally, a festival, or any other place where inetraction with other people may occur? All of these are potential dating sites,.....yet, being in a committed relationship, I enter into these realms with the ideal of nothing more than social interaction. Learn to trust,....humans are by their very nature, social creatures! Resyricting your partner to JUST yourself is demeaning!

RE: Informants...Immigration...Choice Breeding

LOL! Really,....this is just a cut and paste from a website from a UK conspirarcy theorist,.....this is a "forum" scammer,....

RE: Happy Birthday ............

My wishes to your mother for a successful birthing!

cheers Knucklehead fan myself. alas, best I have ever owned was an 850 Norton Commando,.,....AND NOPE,...it didn't survive the 6000 years since its creation,....but sure as hell acted like it was that old!cheers cheers

Einstein proven WRONG!!!!!!!!!!!!

HA! The coffe shop three blocks away was NOT a Starbucks, had table cloths,....yet,....had padded cushions on the chair that defined the comfort aspect of the universe (subtracting the discomfort factor of a black hole possibly existing in the seat!!!) Look, barring his nationality, ometimes, although we HATE to admit it,...Albert didn't ALWAYS have it right! Sure,...he might have understood gravity,....and the universe on the grand scale,...but really,....he had no clue about a decent cup of coffee!!!
