you earned four times minimum wage (that's @ $100K today) and your husband worked too, but you barely made ends meet. I do not understand that math.
We got by on 1.5 incomes when I was a kid (<25K total), by prioritizing things, being frugal with spending and by asking the butcher to save the chicken wings normally be thrown away.
Sure glad my parents didn't use child care services, especially anything free.
