RE: Does welfare promote laziness?

By 'Most' .... I would exclude any undocumented worker from being eligible for amnesty and dual-citizenship, only if they have a criminal element in their background.

RE: Does welfare promote laziness?

Wow, that reminds me, I think Obama has the idea of minting one one-trillion dollar coin, with his image on it. Congress loves that idea. Sixteen coins you can drop in a vending machine and our national debt is solved. No more Quantitative Easing necessary after that.

RE: Does welfare promote laziness?

Ray, my man, most of that debt is to ourselves. We could pay what we owe England overnight, the next couple of days would be needed to pay off what we owe both China and Japan. Etc. all we need to do is borrow the money and buy a couple more printing presses. We might be up to EQ7 before its all over though. handshake

RE: Does welfare promote laziness?

I've wondered this for a long time. There are many possibilities to explain what is going on but I have to wonder if it all comes down to money. i.e. who profits the most from keeping things the way they are between our two countries?

This is why I believe the millions of undocumented worker's lives are manipulated and used by both country's governments. It's obvious amnesty should be granted to most of them and without any strings. In fact, most of them should be given dual citizenships.

RE: Does welfare promote laziness?

I can't believe that. Even if true, it's always been evident on CS, that you've always been rich in character.

I tell you what. Go spend some time in Chernobyl and have a few beers standing on the widest crack in the concrete for a couple of weeks alone. Then let me know what you think.

RE: Does welfare promote laziness?

I personally don't care what you think is right or wrong, or whether you believe Americans put men on the moon, or when you think the earth will stop spinning.
As far as I'm concerned they can have anything back as long as it doesn't cost me money and you move there.

RE: Does welfare promote laziness?

Yaw, we agree on several things now and yes this is topic for another thread. I will share though, none of my ancestors had anything to do with anything here in the continental USA before around 1898 when my four grandparents started immigrating here from Italy.

RE: Does welfare promote laziness?

Education loan Interest rates are not the problem IMO. I'm all for better and necessary additional higher education, but as long as it is adorable without someone needing to go in debt. Many people mislead themselves in believing an old myth that they will have higher incomes with higher degrees because it should enable them to make more money.

RE: Does welfare promote laziness?

What about the native Americans? Who?

RE: Does welfare promote laziness?

They need to accept jobs that are out there even if the work is not elated to their expensive higher education.

RE: Does welfare promote laziness?

This country is not doomed. It has seen worse times and pulled out of them. We'll do it again too.

RE: Does welfare promote laziness?

doh am I sure about what?

about wanting it back, No one living today took parts of the USA from anyone, so we don't owe them anything for what happened years ago.

RE: Do you "miss" somebody special who has'nt Posted for days?

Yeah, there's a number of nice babes in Australia, Canada and Texas I especially miss seeing in the forums. (Is it of ok to use the word 'babes.' uh oh )

RE: Does welfare promote laziness?

yes, if they don't accept a job paying at least minimum wage, incrementally take them all off welfare on the some day.

Certainly anyone with a kindergarten education can pull weeds, cut grass, clean toilets, burry the dead, pick crops, wash windows fix plumbing leaks, paint fences, chauffeur, drive a cab, give tours, deliver furniture etc.

that is incredible! wow

RE: Does welfare promote laziness?

Undocumented workers here dont take jobs from other Americans. Fifty percent of americans that are able to work, don't want to work the jobs undocumented workers have here because they are lazy, have the welfare mindset (entitlement driven) and feel these jobs are beneath them.

Whereas, undocumented workers don't see it that way. Instead, undocumented workers work for what they have and to provide for themselves and family.

I say we should put the undocumented workers in charge of government, after we give them citizenship, tasking them with a priority for eliminating all government assistance, except for the truly needy.

RE: Does welfare promote laziness?

Exactly!!!!! frustrated frustrated frustrated The undocumented workers are exploited for corp/business gains here in the usa and our government has allowed them to be used for our benefit. The undocumented workers 'work' and the business that higher them are the ones who don't pay. This is not the undocumented workers fault. They are exploited by us and their own government.

RE: Does welfare promote laziness?

Really? And how much do these 'lifers' cost?
Does this compare with, for example the $3.3 million to bail out ONE Alaskan tourist boat?
or the NFL, NHL, and PGA who all classify themselves as non-profit organizations, taxpayers may be losing at least $89.9 million subsidizing these tax loopholes for professional sports leagues that generate billions of dollars annually in profits
And how many of these are paying taxes? By not paying taxes not only do these immigrants undercut the minimum wages of people who DO pay taxes, but actively cost the state money by reducing the income to the government, whilst at the same time forcing people who would have done the work onto benefits. But let's not forget all the fat cats who employ them undercutting the minimum wage and making extra profit for themselves, which I'm sure they will pay in their taxes (NOT!)[/quote]

You get my point, yet you don't understand. Our governments,Mexico and USA, have created the situation where the undocumented Mexicans are exploited and used to the point where they have needed to do something to survive, work. This is unlike unemployed lazy Americans sitting around having a pity party for themselves while they wait for their next government check.

Unemployed Americans can do the same jobs as the undocumented workers but are too lazy to do them as we'll as because they feel 'entitled' to better jobs because Americans have gone in debt for higher educations. Most Americans are fat and Lazy to begin with. Half of them live in some sort of dream world where they believe government is the answer and goto place for everything.
