RE: Can jullia gillard be first lady prime minister

you forgot the ETS scheme which comes in at end of this month. that is big rises.

you have either one of two govts at present. one who is taking cuts to get costs down to weather coming economic downturn.

the other is doing as US & Aussie (UK was but now changing) have done & increased govt jobs which in long run looks like progress but add nothing to an economy. in fact it requires a govt to ask the central banks to print more money.

RE: Can jullia gillard be first lady prime minister

ahh the old myth about Kiwis on the aussie dole que. afraid it can't happen until you have being in aussie for two years same for aussies here.

as for that town there Blizz I will take you there if you visit.

price is $1.5 million It was a railway town, has no jobs to speak off & the rain fall you wouldn't believe though like Otira to visit(well the pub anyway).

you can now buy towns in US for less as their one & only industry has closed down.

Aussies time will come too as China is looking elsewhere for their for its minerals. in fact they have just invested in another african country using an aussie company to do the mining so apart from that company Aussie will miss out.

those tax ideas on mining companies though they look good are the thing that got Rudd roled. there are others that are manipulating these things.

NZ has a lot of minerals as well Blizz just there is always dispute, as has happened recently, over whether we can do it or not due to environmetnal concerns.

If we do we will just get all the kiwis to come back from Aussie & that will harm the aussie industry.

RE: Can jullia gillard be first lady prime minister

you mean the aussie economy doesn't work without kiwis & that is a fact found by aussie department. Kiwis are most productive group (including aussies) in aussie.

as Sir Robert Muldoon said when all the school dropouts were heading to aussie & asked if he was worried about it. "why its raising the IQ of both countries."

RE: Can jullia gillard be first lady prime minister

In NZ it is not VAT but GST you followed us & it has being 12.5% for a few years now. Oct 1st it goes up to 15%.

roger douglas's first plan with GST was around 15% across the board no claims back & it would replace all other taxes if you did it like that.

pokiticians don't actually control the finances they are just puppets.

RE: Has Anyone Been To Cambodia/Laos?

sent the email. apparently it will be in your filter area.

RE: Has Anyone Been To Cambodia/Laos?

site yes & no.

going to email you an address I have just being given of a mate who lives in Laos with his local wife & kids. he works for civvy mine clearance firm there.

He said to pass it on but hasn't being to Cambodia for years.

RE: Has Anyone Been To Cambodia/Laos?

Serene the temples at Siam Riap in Cambodia are getting big ups from all the boys.

waiting for a couple that spend a lot of time up there or live up that way to get back to me.

RE: Has Anyone Been To Cambodia/Laos?

Kia ora Serene,

have some information but not from those (ends up a few of my mates are now set up there) living there.

ONe of the boys says it will be like going back in time when you visit Laos or at least until you see the Mekong.

another who worked in Cambodia as part of the UN mine clearance teams until recently (that is why most of them are still there, they liked it & stayed) is in Laos you have to visit Luang Prabang, in Cambodia Siam Reap.

will pass on more info I get until I get off, unless things improve drastically on CS in next day or so.

RE: Has Anyone Been To Cambodia/Laos?

Ok will see what I can find out. have a few other mates living in Thailand & working either on the oil rigs in the gulf or in the sandpit (Iraq) or the ghan (afghanistan) that travel those parts.

will get what I can before I get off here. these supposed upgrades are causing massive problems for me here on CS so will get off here in few days.

RE: Has Anyone Been To Cambodia/Laos?

If you wish I can ask an ex army mate as he lives in Laos though not as likely to know about the tourist thing.

RE: wow the new fast CS!

It's gone from bad to worse. still the same problems, keeps loosing posts made & then in middle of post in support of Martia on her bad news it cut out to do more mainenence. twice in under 24 hours.

don't know how you can say it is better. it keeps changing back & forward. one minute your post is on the next it isn't then its back.

Keeps this up & I am gone off here. very poor service.

RE: Need Advice And Help Please Ladies.

NO I am not digging at you.

I am just asking because like Blacksanta I have trouble finding someone(despite there being apparently a huge number of women for every man in this city, I know a hell of a lot of guys looking but can't find anyone.

anyway I hear that if I come to aussie at present & say I like soccer & are from NZ I might do well as you fellas as usual trying claim some kiwis doing well as yours (since your team isn't).

RE: Need Advice And Help Please Ladies.

so red you reckon that for those of us who are really looking should stop & it will happen?

Interesting thought.

RE: I need advice as well...

Eric you are in a bind mate. on another thread I mentioned that an ex had returned as a friend only but recently dropped a bombshell that she loves me. ONly issue is she is married & has three young ones.

You say miss X is pregnant.

My friend is well aware that first thing I am not happy that she was thinking of leaving her hubby for me, because of the kids coming from a broken home myself.

Not to mention that at present I am not in a position to support them.

so you have to consider those issues for a start.

Next is she stringing you a long. enjoys you because you are more out there than mr sit there do nothing. But with kid on the way will she really leave him?

men aren't the only ones who like to have their cake & eat it too.

Only you can make the decisions though.

RE: I need advice as well...

As usual the wAbbet has good advice here but then there is a lot of other good advice coming through. good luck. Most people by percentage actually meet their partner these days through work.

RE: facebook good or bad

Funny that mate. I meet someone a wee while back on another dating site who was all keen. went to visit then things turned funny. ends up day or so before I visited she had meet all her friends from school in UK on fb & another site & now only speaks to them(last I heard from her).

stopped chatting to me after saying she wouldn't.

so you are not the only one that this is happening too. that is why I came back to this site to look & take part in the forums as the people here help.

good luck in your search.

RE: In 1986 our treacherous politicians passed the "Australia Act" to eliminate appeals to the Privy Cou

I like the idea of someone to help revitalize me.

thing is as usual those I have being talking too I meet on other sites just stop chatting with no explanation. ONe was nice enough to say that whilst they have being chatting to me they have being dating someone else. at least they were up front.

see how the new contacts go. one appears to have being a scam though.

RE: In 1986 our treacherous politicians passed the "Australia Act" to eliminate appeals to the Privy Cou

Oh I wish I could find those pleasures you talk about but not just for a roll in the hay, but for longterm like you seem to have.

At times though hard to get out of the rut.

Good to see Kizzy seems to maybe found someone. she was heart & soul of some of the threads on here.

RE: In 1986 our treacherous politicians passed the "Australia Act" to eliminate appeals to the Privy Cou

Kia ora Rob, NZ govt did the same although if they honour the Treaty of Waitangi it gives all Kiwis the right to go to the privy council but govts just do things that are illegal & the more I have studied this finance stuff the more I find it has being done but they are being manipulated by those who run the finances. If you can read a book conspiracy of the rich. agrees there is but its point is use what they do to get yourself ahead & help others which is what I have being trying to do & it says get the message out.

@Martia I get your point, but from guys like Rob & myself we get to see what is done in your name & after they use us they then discard us.

To do what we have done they need people who are bluntly honest (not good in relationships you find despite people saying they want honesty, most can not handle it). Governments don't really want to help us because then their secrets might get out, so they marginalize us, so no one will believe.

It is actually a human trait to look for the good when they know they should be listening to the bad to help them avoid it. Military are different, we plan for the worst case, that way it doesn't affect us so bad if something does happen.

As an investor you are also taught to look for problems as they make the best investments (if you have done your homework). so what might seem negative when being talked about, actually can be an opportunity. frustrating when you can't take advantage though.

I am trying what you talk about though Martia & looking for a good woman to share my dreams of making a difference in the world.

That is why I put out there what I am looking for & believe in as don't want to lead someone up the garden path.

RE: The "L" Word

I wouldn't say so. if you look at the arranged marriages they work at it.

recently an article about an Aussie priest in the US who has wrote a book & his observations (he is 80) is you should actually be more in line on other areas first & work on the partnership. seems the love is deeper & lasts that way.

so how ever long you take to fall in love is how long it takes I suppose.

RE: Prime Minister cans ETS and back renewable energy initiatives

went to one of their AGM's here in Christchurch. have to get the other business going first.

It will happen as many farmers have been up in arms over GE thing. they see it as a selling point. Markets dictate clean & green, no GE so wether they like it or not they will have to change. all at once though will cost too much.

He who has the gold makes the rules. to change things we need to either be the one who has the gold or influence them but not by econ green tactics. that way you are just playing in their hands for more power.

RE: The "L" Word

I am with you Kizzy. People always want to know why you are not saying it back. takes time.

Once went out with woman 10 years younger (she chased me) she used to say it, but I was sure it was more lust as she had to grow up & live her life.

Problem is Now I am looking she is back, married with three kids & renews our friendship(only nothing else) then after about a year she drops the bombshell that she loves me for sure.

I am sure with time I would of loved her as special person, but she took off because I would never say it. I just wasn't feeling for her in that way.

maybe we just are never to be, but you have to feel it before you say it.

RE: Prime Minister cans ETS and back renewable energy initiatives

you are right NZ is not clean & green but as darkhorseman says we can not lead. Labour actually was going to make things worse.

smart way is come up with ideas that are both green & economically susatinable, which is how the world works unfortunately. as good as an idea is no one will take it up if they can't survive on it economically.

ETS is a scam anyway. only market where they are selling them is Chicago & so far person who has made the most money is one AL Gore.

I am still trying to get my businesses going so I can establish sustainable communities. the only way things will change is if business leads. Farmers (at least downunder) are good businessman & they know when something is a good selling point. so behaviours change to allow them to make money.

Fonterra has put an edict out that all farms must set up environmentally aware or they will cut them out of trade.

RE: Prime Minister cans ETS and back renewable energy initiatives

OH you guys will get it sometime it is just they are letting us in NZ try it out first. ETS comes in at end of this month & though numbers they are quoting are small it will have a huge impact on small businesses, low to middle income earners.

& it does nothing for the environment, it is just a new way to create money to keep the econmies up they hope.

to top that they are due to raise rates & then GST here on October the first. but wages are going to stay same or at most go up just over 1% going on recent rounds of some negotiations.

forget the politicians they aren't even in control, just look at what information is out there & protect yourselves over what is about to come.

Just received some information. As you will know Arizona passed a law where anybody can be questioned if thought to be illegal immigrants. point was that as the eocnomies tank big time certain groups get picked on.

but more worrying was the little heard about law change in that state where everyone is now allowed to buy, own & carry weapons concealed. up until now they have had to sit a test & have a permit to carry a concealed weapon.

watch for new laws that they are sneaking in whilst everyone is arguing over another contraversial law.

Aussie have what is held up as the best super schemes in the world, but just watch out that they will do the US thing & put in place something to stop you getting your super payments.

RE: How would you judge your looks?

how would I judge my looks. hmmm. how we used too, in one unit in the army. rude, crude & undesireable, get drunk fall down, no problem.

though more in line with NZ psyche, rugged is what I would like to think & these days the get drunk doesn't happen even on the days I do drink which is usually only ANZAC day. controlled drinking for the whole day.

RE: Titled Shear Idiocy

couple of sheep? it is big business the rustling & selling on the black market. but no resources to deal with it.

RE: The truth must be told!

update with latest. gold & silver may drop shortly as been manipulated before they go up again.

that though does not mean they will drop in Aussie or NZ.

Blizzard said in one post on other thread something about gold going up only 4%. In Aussie maybe but gold price is not measured in anything else but US dollars so has gone up about 150% with silver about 400%.

bought my gold when it was US$930 an oz but due to exchange rate & not having the cash flow I expected it was only in the last month that I made anything on selling gold to cover expenses.

two issues involved is high NZ dollar until recently (even if gold drops if Nz dollar drops then I will likely make money - go figure) but when it goes back up NZ dollar can only get as high as 85 cents in the dollar otherwise it will impact greatly on our businesses been export orientated so govt will have to act.

same issue for aussie.

Other thing that is going to impact is Rudd govt tax on miners. It will make mining certain minerals including gold unprofitable in aussie.

you may think that is wrong but same has being happening with silver & with a lot of money around it was estimated of the 10 main companies mining silver only two had being running at a profit so due to fall over.

this means that there will less of both just when people are likely to be looking for it.

so not all gold company stocks will make money in the long run.

oil might but has to be the right one, same as uranium, platinum, pallidium & Rhobendium. all forecast to go up but you have to judge which ones with your homework. the metals apart from Uranium best is if you hold it.

that is message I am getting anyway to pass on.

like always do your own homework.

RE: know where you come from.

On Dad's side we know for sure, Maori with whakapapa way, way, way back before we arrived in NZ, Scottish (one was king of scotland) & English. Mum's side no one is 100% sure but definitely scottish (owned the hotel on shores of lake Tarawera when volcano blew in 1800's), english they think Russian Jew & few bits & bods thrown in.

When going back through Dad's fathers tree then dad's half brother's (my uncle's dad married his cousin - dad's Mum then had two kids my uncle & auntie) we found that Uncles line was one of us from same bloody village in south of scotland or north of england. talk about connections.

Not quite as juicy as kizzy's but you they are all interesting.

so what am I these days. on census I always put Part Maori New zealander which really upsets the bureaucrats over here.

RE: The truth must be told!

That is why I have taken control of my donations. too many out there asking & you don't know who is asking.

right now mine are worked out on a 10% basis. 10% of the income that comes in goes to my investment fund, 10% to my chosen charities. they are my Marae & the veterans association I belong too. once it increases then will look at local RSA's. did try sallies & city mission but they seemed reluctant & only way I now give is by internet banking as then I know where the money is going.

I never give to those ones for kids overseas as one we have to sort it out for our own kids first & two in all my travels I have never actually seen them doing any good. In fact I have never seen them period. been a soldier you get to stay or travel through some pretty dire areas.

It all comes back to what a Mate said when he came back from Bosnia & I was waiting to go over(chicken govt cancelled my trip). "bro remember those kids living on the Dumps in Malaysia & we couldn't help them or those kids begging in Bangkok & we couldn't help" "yeah I do mate & you had to harden your heart to turn away or not give as you just didn't have enough" "well bro we made a difference, we made a difference."

That conversation has driven me ever since to find out how & what to do to get ahead to help make that difference. To do something not just give money & say I have done my bit.

That is certainly wasn't the old aussie or kiwi way but it is becoming so much the way we do things.

the sallies do get out there & do things, others I am not so sure.

RE: 3 sum

I agree at present. although it is definietly her call & people can love more than one person at a time.

some cultures manage it quite nicely.
