What I normaly do with my son who is 8, I ask him what he would like to do for his birthday. Wether he wants a party or just spend time with me and close family. Normaly he likes to spend the day either bowling or to the indoor amusement park we have here. One year it was just me and him and we went out for dinner and a movie.
As for gifts I normaly take him to Toys R Us and let him pick something.
Awwwwww Thank you everyone!! I know I am an awesome mom and woman. And believe me I do not let anyone else tell me otherwise. Its hard being a single mom but my children are worth it and I wouldn't trade it for anything in this world!!
As for this guy. Don't worry. I just met him a few days ago and just started chatting with him today. Didn't even give him time to get to know me and he was already judging me. Go figure. Oh well life does go on lol
Ii have been here since Janurary of this year. Its the best place I have ever been so far and I have made many great friends through here. Its a wonderful place!
Well I just calmly told him what I thought about his views and how here its different from where he is and that maybe we are better off not talking and go our seperate ways. So he is history now.

Here is the deal...Am chatting with this guy. He knows about my daughters father. And I mean as long as you have children the other parent will always be a part of your life right? I mean you have to be civil for your children. Thats how I feel anyways. It does NOT mean that I am fooling arround with him because I am NOT.
Well this guy keeps telling me that as long as my daughters father is still in our lives that I will never have a successful relationship because of it. I told him that he was wrong and that if no one can accept the fact that he is in my daughters life then maybe I am better off single the rest of my life. Because my daughters life is way more important.
Have you ever thought that maybe its your attitude that does not help things? You can't just assume that every woman you write or send flowers to will be at your beck and call. Just like in real life dating it does take time and patience. Don't judge a site or something based on a bad experience if its even that honestly.

We are heading over to my moms house to have a yummy pot luck supper with our friends and family. Looking forward to it. The positive will be good for my mom that is for sure.

I think its sweet when a man is close to their mothers but there are also limits! I was with a man once who lived with his mom. Don't get me wrong I have nothing against that but this guy was 35 and everything his mom wanted or should I say demanded she got from him. He literly kissed her feet for crying out loud. Like I said nothing wrong with being close to your mom but they need a life too right?
I totaly agree with you! It just peeves me to no end when I am dating someone and they are not honest with me. I rather hear the truth right away rather than be lead on for awhile and/or hear it from someone else. I am a big girl! I can take it!
