Must be an American thing. Here we don't have much depression commercials or advertisements for anti-depressants. I think we had one and it was for Zoloft. Of course I am in the maritimes so maybe the rest of Canada is different I don't know lol
I know here you can not self diagnose yourself. You need to see a doctor who will diagnose you.
I suffer from Moderate depression myself and was on Celexa for a few years. Because I am pregnant I had to get off. But will be be put back on once the baby is born because I have a higer risk of PPD right now.
I know your not trying to slam anyone but there is a difference between having a bad year and feeling crappy and down all the time. Depression is a chemical imbalance in the brain. Not because of something that has happened in your life. You can't control depression. It controls you.
You know what? Men like that are not worth your time and energy. If thats how they are then its THEIR loss not yours.
I know how frustrating that can be believe me. But now I think of it this way. If they don't like me for who I am then too bad for them. There are plenty more fishes in the sea I always say.
I am Tracy, Just joined yesterday. I just got out of a serious relationship a few weeks ago so not really looking for anything but making new friends right now. So far I am liking this place. Lots of great people!!
I am 29, mom to a almost 8 year old son, and expecting another one in March of this year. Currently residing in Moncton NB Canada. I speak french and english. I am not into meeting people in bars either but love going to clubs and dancing and having fun.
Looking forward to hearing more about you and hope you have a good new year too!
I know what you mean but honestly I am not a phone person myself and am bad at getting back to e-mails and so forth. Its nothing personal against anyone. Just me. I am the type if I am going to call someone its for a reason. My ex on he other hand was opposite. He would call me and talk for hours on end lol
Like one member just said here. Don't take it personaly. Some people are just busy and hey maybe its just a sign that that person is not the one for you. Thats how I take it. Soon enough you will find someone who will give you more attention don't worry.
I am new. Just joined the site yesterday. I am 29, just became single. Mom to a almost 8 year old son and expecting another in March 2006. We currently reside in New Brunswick Canada.
Just wanted to wish everyone a good morning and hope you all have a great day!
LOL Thanks for the welcome and I am sure I will be taking advantage of many of the forums on here :o)
As for the reason for being single and all...Well we were in a long distance relationship and as much as he was a great guy. It was just very difficult and everything. He is a wonderful person. It was a mutual thing. We both just needed a break.
Its a bit rough but I am liking it so far. Taking it one day at a time and well will have two kids to run after soon so I am sure that will keep me plenty busy LOL
I have one cat. She is a domestic long haired, almost 5 years old and orange in color. She is our spoiled rotten baby and her name is Katine (hence my handle on here lol)
