for the reasons you just mentioned, I think marriage isn't so important anymore.
they spend tons of money for that one day, but get divorced within 3 months.
what's the value of that?

maybe it is my dutch point of view, I don't know, but to me...that little piece of paper is worthless.
I've seen so many couples bond by this same piece of paper and they fought each other out of the room....and I've seen couples happily living together with no problems at all.

what I am trying to say is, that it's okay to be married if your heart feels it's okay.
and it's okay not to be married if your heart says it's okay.

do I make sense?

there is nothing to say at this moment Jo..I am so sorry for you and your friend.

sometimes the events in life are overwhelming and one needs time to digest.
because life goes on, no matter how big a loss is.

take care of yourself and your other friend and keep the memory alive. as long as you have the memory, your friend will be with you, and you carry him in your hearts.
