i will never get mad at honesty first of all i would take it that you have never been a smoker, second, at my age why would i want kids?been there done that, so give it up on that.

i think you are right, i am a smoker myself and i dont even smoke inside my apartment i think most smokers will agree on going outside, its just plain and simple respect for others
I do not think he will stop because of love, first and foremost he must realize he has a drinking problem and nagging him about it wont help talk to him, give him your support by telling him you will be with him every step of the way If he can imagine life without drinking he will stop with no problem If he does not admit that he has a problem, then i say count your losses and move on, its a hard thing to do but its tough love and maybe it will open his eyes
