RE: Subservience...

We don't have figs in Missouri, so it's a treat when I can find some.
I had some on a green salad just last weekend and was a happy girl.
I've never heard of Naartjie, so I googled. Like a mandarin orange? Yummy! I have two mandarin oranges everyday as a mid-morning and mid-afternoon snack at the office.
And my favorite jams? Apricot and plum.

RE: Subservience...

It all sounds lovely and a wonderful creative outlet.
Cherry, peach and lemon trees would be fantastic.

RE: Subservience...

It is out of my hands.

RE: Subservience...

I am well, thank you for asking.
My next follow-up doctor's appointment is in September, and hopefully, he will confirm that my cancer is still in remission, and hopefully will stay that way for ever.
It is true about appreciating life.
What used to be "big" things, simply don't matter anymore.
The small simple moments are so profound now.

I took a photo of my kitty a few nights ago sitting in my bedroom window with the sun setting.
The sky was a fire orange as the sun was sinking and she was a dark silohouette contrasted against that sky. She is my favorite photo model.

I live on the edge of woods and see almost daily families of deer, rabbits, squirrels that live in the trees and come on my balcony and look in my window.
I hear Owls at night and see them occasionally as well and it always thrills me.
I need to move in the middle of the summer and am sad to be leaving this.

RE: Subservience...

Are you asking at what age/stage we should practice introspection and self-awareness? I'd say, Now. It's never too late to begin the journey of learning about oneself. wine

RE: Subservience...

Ok. Now are you choosing to deliberately misunderstand what I'm saying.

You will note that I have posted in this thread about:
Leaders, servers, those that are both.
I did not negate any of them. In fact, I have been saying that all of these qualities show strength and character.
I have said that to come to a realization within ourselves of which of those strengths we possess, is to find wholeness.

RE: Subservience...

I did not say that all.
I said that when we realize and understand who we are, and accept this, we finally feel whole.

RE: Last to post wins

To a place called Trouble, with a capital T. grin

No need to come back because....I win. applause

RE: Subservience...

It takes such courage in today's society, with the media and the masses telling us who/how we should be...and to have the fortitude and strength to stand up straight, to kneel, to serve with joy and pureness of heart. A feeling and realization of finally being whole.

RE: Subservience...

You know what?
That humbles me.
Thank you for the unexpected compliment snooks. wine

RE: Subservience...

Thank you Kaylana. cheers

RE: Subservience...

You just voiced something that is true....there is power in serving.

RE: Subservience...

But I knew you wouldn't anyway. handshake
