THE NORTH

THE NORTH

Winter has once again returned to the north
The lakes have become a solid sheet of frozen ice
Cold bitter winds blow
Snow covers the lake in a blanket white
As thousand of twinkling stars scatter the distance sky
The northern lights dance so gracefully
Than as quick as they appeared
They disappear into the darkness of the night
Icicles hang from the cabin roofs
Painted snow flakes upon the window pane
Each one so perfect and unique in every way
The beauty of this land is
Truly a piece of art
Painted by the hand of the Master him self

The Sea of no return

The Sea of no Return

As she stands near the cliff edge, she gazed off into the distance
A ship is heading out to sea then disappears beyond the horizon
Remembering so well the sorrow and pain that she had to endure
Forever searching for the ship that disappeared into
The darkness of the night never to return
Her one true love lost forever to the dark depth of the sea
A breeze suddenly sends a chilling sensation over her
As she wraps her shawl around her shoulders
A voice echoes from the sea
The moon reflects her beauty upon the water
Yet she feels a sense of the unknown as fear grasps her heart
As the white waves slap up against the jagged rocks below
She sees an image of her lost love a smile comes to her face
She takes a deep breath and gracefully falls to her death below
At last they are joined in the sea of love

My ANGEL IN BLACk

My ANGEL IN BLACk

Sitting in the darkness one cold winter night
Alone with memories confused
As to why her existence mattered at all
For an evil spirit it touched her soul
But God had a strong hold and would not let go
He did not forsake her or leave her that night
He sent her an angel to show her the light

He stood in the door way a prince of a man
In a black leather jacket and bible in hand
His voice was so gentle so cool so calm
Touching her shoulder hand held up high
Closing his eyes he then did reply

Jesus sent me to save you I’ll do you no harm
In Jesus name you must go on
Days will get better the nights not so long
The pain you are filling soon will be gone
She felt the stillness that filled the air
And knew that her guardian angel was there

Her guardian angel was not dressed in white
He had no halo that glowed in the night
He had no wings of silver or gold
For her guardian angel wore black leather clothes

MEMORIES

MEMORIES

As I travel through the country side
I’ll stop and take the time
To listen to the winds blow
Through the tall green grass
I’ll stop to pick some flowers
As I journey on my way
And smell their delicate fragrance
Before they wilt away
I’ll sit upon the river bank
And watch the sun go down
As my mind it often wanders
And drifts back into time
I’ll reminisce in memories
Of day’s now long gone by
Of when we shared life’s simple things
Like the stars up in the sky
Or walking in a meadow
On a sunny summer day
Or holding hands and laughing
While we watched our children play
If it wasn’t for those memories
My life wouldn’t be worth while
For they keep me young in spirit
And smiling all the while

JUDGE NOT

JUDGE NOT

As we have now entered into the new century
It‘s time for all of us to take a good look as to how we treat each other
And stop all the prejudice that is going on in the world
What difference does it really make?
It is not for us to judge any one
For each person born into this world
Did not have a say as to the face or body we have been given
On the other hand, or even what colour our skin was to be
That was Gods decision. Some day we all have to face him
Now I certainly would not want to be the one to say to the almighty
That he makes the wrong decision would you?
Stop and take the time to look around. Haven’t you ever noticed?
That God made the world in many colour
The flowers, the birds, animals the fish in the sea
Take a rose for instance they come in red, pink, and yellow
Are they all not truly beautiful?
So why would he of made the human race all in one colour
He gave us eyesight so that we could see the beauty in this world
That we where born into
Remember don’t judge a person
By there looks or the colour of their skin
For the beauty lies with in

HE WALKS WITH ME

HE WALKS WITH ME
Give me the courage I believe in prayer
As I walk this valley that is dark and deep
I pray to the heavens to feel Gods touch
For he gave his life’s blood to save me from sins
My Lord my Jesus my one true friend
Oh the power the power of God up above
The power of God and the love of his son
Breaking the power that lives deep in side
Satin looks on oh how he tried
If I gave him my soul I knew I’d be lost
But God and his angles where always near by
To protect and guide me from all satin’s lies
Like the rush of the sea that Jesus walked in
His power I felt as I stumbled and fell
Then under the blood as I took Jesus’ hand
I surrendered my soul to the almighty above
I surrender to God I give him my praise
As satin is sent to the depth down below
I surrender my love my heart and my soul
For god will protect me wherever I go

Two –Time Looser

Two –Time Looser

Last night at eight o’clock you’ll walk out of our door
You looked handsome in your new cowboy clothes
Fancy white shirt tight fitting jeans
Sexiest looking cowboy that I have ever seen

Your smile can charm the lady‘s and sweep them off their feet.
But you’re a two-time looser a liar and a cheat
And somewhere down the road you’ll end up in the street
Counting all your pennies and no where to sleep

I’ve seen you in the bar room drinking rye and coke.
I’ve seen you with your lady friend she really is a joke
I’ve seen you on the dance floor you sure know all the moves
To keep that lady’s happy as your drinking all their booze

Your smile can charm the lady’s and sweeps them off their feet
But you’re a two-time looser a liar and a cheat
And somewhere down the road you’ll end up on the street
Counting all your pennies and no where to sleep

DREAMS

DREAMS
There’s an angel standing guard while she is sleeping
He’ll protect her till the morning sunshine’s
He sits by her bedside and watches
As she relives the memories of time

Remember the time when you held her
On the day God called you away
You said you were going to heaven
You knew you just couldn’t stay

Her tears you knew she was hiding
So her heart wouldn’t show any pain
If only you where here to hold her
She’d tell you all of her dreams

You taught her to love all Gods creatures
You taught her her prayers at bedtime
You taught her to love one another
Now teach her that life must go on

You bought her a gold chain and locket
I remember the words that you said
If ever she was lonely and needed
To see your face once again
Just open the little gold locket
And remember the love that’s inside

It’s not the little gold locket
That she holds so dear to her heart
It’s the memories you placed inside it
That she’ll treasure all the days of her life
Someday you will meet in God’s heaven
I know you’ll be waiting for her

So stay by her bedside and watch her
Protect her till the morning sunshine’s
You can dream all your dreams together
Let her dream of all her good times

BED TIME PRAYER

BED TIME PRAYER

A little girl is kneeling beside her mommy’s bed
Her daddy stands and watches and than he bows his head
He wraps his arms around her as the tears they start to flow
For her mommy went to heaven just a little while ago
Now she’s talking to her mommy she thinks that she can see
If there’s a God in heaven oh please let it be

I can see you mommy I can see you now
Mommy you’re so pretty are you wings made out of gold?
I can see your halo it’s shining oh so bright
Mommy was it Jesus that held my hand last night
Are you one of God’s angels does daddy know your there?
If you’ll come home now mommy I’ll say my bed time prayers

Spring Time

Spring Time
Spring is here at last in all its beauty and slender.
Tall Pine trees with their branches spread wide
Sway gently in the warm winds
Leaving a sent that if fresh and pure
Creaks now thawed, water tricking over the shallow rock beds.
Fall leaves floating as they work their way down stream.
Birds are chirping in the early morning sun.
Squirrels chattering on branches of tall spruce trees
Frogs croaking in a near by pond
Buds on trees waiting for new leaves to appear
Soon the wild roses will fill the air with there delicate scent
Tiger lily’s lady slippers bluebells and ferns all patiently
Waiting for the rains to begin
For only than will the forest come alive
And new life will begin once more

Shadow in the Window

A shadow in the window, blinds closed tight
She hides within the darkness, the darkness of life
Shows no emotion when someone comes around
Recognizes no one and utters not a sound
The town folks say she’s crazy, crazy as can be
But maybe there was something that they just didn’t see
For you’d always hear her crying she’d weep throughout the night
As she walked there in the stillness and the coldness of the night
Picture frames all empty no faces will you see
As to where she came from or who that she may be
A small bouquet of flowers lay dried upon a stand
And a small and torn bible with indents from her hand
She wraps her coat around her when the cold winds blow
Searching the lonely streets yet no where to go
Streets now empty no one can be found
Except for this lady that roams throughout our town
I found her with her bible she held it in her hand
I thought that I could help her but she had other plans
You’ll never see her walking or hear her cries at night
Her weeping now is silent as she took her life last night
Oh who was that lady that lived within our town?
Walked the streets at midnight and stayed out till dawn
