Friends, of yester years

School, sometimes is tough time,
In our country, it's so book based
It is so dreadful to go to school sometimes

But the thing that keeps us going daily is the friends we have in school.
What bliss, love, pure and unselfish.
What emotions are gathered, unspoilt and tender to live a lifetime.

Today, I'm so glad, so happy,
It was pure Bliss, to be found
By one of my classmates,
The joy of her writing to me, inquiring.

I know somewhere in my life, I must have disappeared from the orbit of existence.
So, caught up in the rat race of life and responsibilities.

But, there are relationships that will never go sour,
That's the Love we have with our mates at school.
It's all bubbly and free.
Like we have never aged a bit .

Oh, it's so much energy and love We had and have and will have for ever till we part from this Earth.
However far away they are, it's so beautiful to have that love.

God is so great and amazing
Never seizes to amaze me.
Never seizes to shower me with love .
Being single, life is sometimes rash.

But, I've been blessed with the amazing love of friends, who have treasured me, in their hearts for more than quarter century.
That love, is so amazing.

The Bonfire

The night was perfect for a bonfire gathering
Many good friends to join this magical happening
Time standing still in lost coolness of autumn glowing
Tethered to the warmth of blustery winds a blowing
In the early dawn of light planning for the fire begins
Like the morning holy prayers of solemn matins

Approaching you could smell the cows faraway and distant
Mingled with the wood burning the aroma was persistent
Food was sat among tables arranged around the trees
Receiving their share were the flies and bees
Buzzing a melodic pitch of tonic accent
Apropos for this outdoor content

The building of the bonfire is a true art form
Tree limbs stacked in meticulous order one by one
Enticing flames to rise in heights and dance like spirits
Filling the night with fellowship among the hot smoky orbits
Reflecting through the stars blazing flames leaping without care
As eyes sparkled and the heat warmed our faces in the night air

Grass fed meat cooked ceremoniously over the billowing fire
A picture emerges of feasting in a forgotten medieval empire
Friends together chatting under the warm dark skies above
Laughter in the air while souls touch in neighborly love
That need no assistance from extraneous luminaire’
While the brisk winds blew through our hair

Many life’s lessons were told one by one
Mixed with different views and opinions spun
The Bonfire climbs higher holding us in rapture
While mingling with the scents, chatter and laughter
All the wood if free to gather in the forests there’s no quota
This is the life of Bonfire gatherings with friends in Minnesota
Should strangers see the billowing smoke, stopping by to inquire
They’ll be welcomed as friends and asked to join the circle
To share with us the comforting warmth of the blazing Bonfire

Love, Blessings, Peace and Unity,
Jade Anjoun

Flowers

Woman are thought of as a Rose,
Soft petals, beautiful fragrance, delicate and surrounded by strong thorns to protect her.

Some woman are just like that.

For me a woman is like a sunflower, bright yellow and cheerful, always turns to the warmth of people, and has seeds that feed and nourish.

Most women are sunflowers.

But remember the Rose can bend without breaking, the sunflower can get destroyed for her seeds.

In the end all flowers are beautiful, soft and strong in their own right, so treasure them.

Ssssss

Pinkbird, are you here?
They searched for you and did not find you
You are not what they think you are
Unique
They can't describe you
In consecutive letters
I think you are here
Do you hear me
is not it
Point to me
With my class
If you don't care
I hear you
The pink bird

Daniella

She’s great
Never hates
Always honest
Sticks to her promises
Always there
before I even realize
heart of gold
Holds your secrets
Never lies
Even if it makes me cry
Catches me off guard
Makes me laugh so hard
She’ll help me in a flash
A special human being
She’ll never understand me
Yet Never abandon me
always there to help
Gives me crash courses on life
embedded in my heart
I couldn’t possibly have a better friend
I’m so happy I found you
Thank you for being my friend

About this poem:
I reached out to you.
Didn’t really know you
You learned who I am in a flash
Teaching me how to learn who I am
Takes a lot of work
Helping me learn how to think and cope
Can’t thank you enough
My dearest friend

Drops of Red

Drops of red
Sharp steel pushes down gently on milky skin,
The slight pop as it gives way,
Slides easily along the cut opening a line.

She watches the red line form,
The perfect drop of blood like a jewel,
It gathers all the pent up feeling inside her,
Hangs like a perfect tear for a few seconds,
Then falls to the ground.

She feels the weight of her heart drop,
And the lightness of releasing all the hurt.

The tears now able to fall and run like a river,
Her eyes cleansing her soul.

And the carm washes over her once more...

A battle of wills

Pain flowed through me, an onslaught of emotion
Bringing me back down to Earth with a solid thump!
Betrayal from a previous acquaintance sliced the air
With multiple daggers, maiming to cause harm
And as I'm attacked, not just energetically, but, also
Verbally, and emotionally, accusations fly, jeopardizing my life
Changes are best left forgotten but not forgiven
As a decisive choice is made between the two
Chess pieces are flung against the wall, as
There cannot be two queens on the same side in a match,
Or battle of opposition, where one brutally makes injury to mar
The other's reputation, where one creates an air of grace; in a response
To block and parry the verbal attacks; leaving what is left in the air
As a matter of fact, the fact that the queen in question tried to choose
Between me and another friendship that I've yet to lose,
But only time can tell what's really afoot; of a toxic connection
That's been maligned in the book, and as I record the last detail within
The devil has omitted my desire to fit in; but no more will I be trying
To do what's wrong and what's right, my only flaw was responding to it
In the limelight, the initial opening like was sent to gain a reaction,
Much less needed from the oppositional distraction
Pain, heartache and transparency overruled the roost,
Erring the way of injustice, between what one has to lose
The flags of Karma can undoubtedly be a b*tch, that's not my issue
As to what flag is which, but my teary self is left in tatters,
Will power not needed, so all that matters is the realization between
Which Queen will win, or whether it will travel to her next wingman within
I know, in my heart, that what I did was right, but my own flaw was answering
The message request at five minutes past five.

The Dancing Muse

She whirled around center stage, pirouetting around the room
Curly ebony hair with heavy make up, silver shadowing around
The brows, reflective of the snowy supermoon
And as she danced, spectactors cry, we are lulled into
The throes of a gothic lullabye, softly sung sorrowfully, resonating
Deep within the heartstrings of the audience, no longer feeling
A little tense, expressing the love of dance as to how she feels
No longer needing commerciality to keep it real,
She's pouring her heart out through the medium of dance
Improving with every step knowing that it might be classed as
A distant trance, floating, gracefully into an elegant twist,
The poem can now be resolved and twirled into this
A moving piece of powerful verse, emotions churn like a blessing
And a curse, the balance is no longer reported adrift
As this poem ends with a silent kiss, a quiet salute to those
That can dream and remind people reading this that
Not everything in reality appears as it seems, that mystery
Can appear to many even in evidential truths

Once again

Once again in the Poet's Corner
Pass the night in a discourse with friends.
If you were a part of poets' forum
You will never regret you have stayed.

I go slowly from poem to poem,
Looking first for the newest ones,
Then go back to familiar verses,
Those that once touched my soul so hard.

Poet's corner is always in motion,
Its contributors take turns in race,
When one part of the world is sleeping,
Then another one picks up the pace.

Poet's Corner is people's refuge,
You're invited - don't need any pass.
Here you meet with old friends, smiling faces,
Here's encouragement, sympathy, love.

You can pass the whole night making comments,
Reading poems, enjoying the rhymes,
Thinking, what is the point poet's making,
Hoping some time you'll write as he does.

Sympathetic and witty comments,
Make you think of the poem twice,
And discussion that's launched over poem
Makes you stay and endure to the last.

Oh, I've learned very much from Poet's Corner,
Never thought would entice me so much.
In my greetings to you, dear poets,
I would wish you success and great love!
