I wonder if it is like this for you...
Watching the tides, laughing at the dances of the the birds..
seeing the beauty of the trees
Hearing the intricate rhythms of the crickets
...and how they must give us a hint of joy...
Even amidst the most somber of days.
I wonder if you could love the depth of this writer,
As you laugh at the antics of the thieving crow...
the reflection in eyes...
Reveals to any and all that you've always been strong,
even when your highs...
were so very low.
The salty mist from these shores have soaked my skin..
listening for your voice
The voice I've never heard ....
It is from here that I will recognize your footsteps...
It is there that i sense your candor, your smile...your light.
... if Love finds us here ...
it will be at Her own pace.
It's the "real" that i love.
The insatiable desire to know it...
to be it...
perhaps it would not be fair to tally it as an obsession,
only a living prayer,
a living moment suspended in time...
every bit as real as it ever was...
These are the voices I hear....
from across the pond ...

The scent of a frothy ocean breeze,
reminds me of a time not long past...
I close my eyes and witness this dream,
a welcome respite that I hope will last...
banana leaves and hibiscus flowers brighten the once dim horizon,
Like a host of smiling faces, they greet me...
welcoming a long lost friend.
From the old bridge , I see a Pelican meandering slowly ...as if she had time to spare -
passing through the creek , her feathers wet , seemingly unaware.
A crane stands patiently on the flats... waiting for that careless dragonfly,
The silence remains....lifting to the heavens a Morning Dove's cry.
Ah, but this dream seems so real...much too precious for time to steal.
So, I return again to your splendor, my precious isle of light...
a place where time fails to cast its shadow....
and where I go to heal "

are people you can trust
that are there for you
when you are in need
real friends don't judge
just hold out their hands
smile and cheer you up
shake their finger at you
when you are out of line
most of all its a form of love
that helps to uplift you
makes you feel strong
ready to meet the new day
someone's shoulder to lean on
also to cry out your heart
most of all a person who shares
each little loss or joy with you
friendship is giving
but also its receiving

My english is so primitive
but please be positive
try to understand what i have to say
and be sincere on a special way
Virtual friendship is real?
all request was a deal
all strangers are attrattive
but we have to be pro active
can we trust just on a picture?
can we be completely sure?
what we have to think in this case?
what we have to do be save?
i think you have to be simply yourself
so you'll find a good friend in someone else
world is full of strange fake
but we have simply to be .. unnaked
friensdhip is all we have to find
and so we will be not more blind
because a good sincere friend
help us to live till the end
Take care of you my little girl
i'll never leave alone in the world
take care of your family too
that's what is most important for you

I see you doing the jig
jumping back and forth
happy as can be.
You have a new life of
p o s s i t i v i t y .
You sing the song of
high energy.
I am so happy to see
the beautiful spirit
inside of thee.
Coming out for all to see.
The joy that is going
to come to thee.
The peace that has come
over you is from the Father
above with his love.

Ode to Liam 23/01/2011
by Linda Hillier
Liam passed away on 8/04/2009 aged 45
Oh how my heart yearns for you
That once was my dearest friend
We travelled many miles with each other
shared our thoughts and passions
We put the world to rights time and again
You were my sanctuary from life's woes
Never asking or expecting anything from me
freely giving me everything you could
It was only when you were taken from me
That I realised what a gift I had lost
The gap left in my heart so big,
A chasm I was unable to fill
Why oh why you i cried out in sorrow
It should have been me for you were no age
The angels took a piece of my heart
On the day they took you
One day soon I will again travel with you
For such is the fate of mankind

About this poem:
TODAY is The ANNIVERSARY of Liam's Passing I hope no-one minds me bringing it back to top of leader board
Liam was a special friend who was disabled and sadly a recluse who did me the honour of giving me his friendship although only friends not lovers I miss him terribly
It was a sad death Liam as a recluse died alone I got worried when he didn't answer his phone and went to the police they broke in and found my dear friend passed away he died of a brain aneurysm
Today I mourn his passing and wish I had been there maybe if he hadn't been alone he would still be with us

Is there a way to describe
How truly alive
Every vibe
Ignites
My mind
~
I cannot imagine
A better sense
Of
Direction
Or
A deeper source
Of
Inspiration
Than I feel
At this very moment
~
As a guide
Locked up inside
My psyche
You release
My pent up energy
And
It’s with you
I seek
To
Feel free
~
The joy
Of
New beginnings
All
The possibilities
~
What’s NOT to see?
What CAN’T we be?
~
THE FURTURE IS OURS
~
To create synergy
Magically
Effortlessly
Symbolically
~
Between
And
Beyond
You and Me

A wine of full flavour
full bodied and strong
dry wit he has in plenty
always ready to help
a struggling friend
no way are you
past your sell date
so linger awile longer
your best is yet to be written

I made a promise
as of today
to do at least
one good turn
make someone smile
a promise I will keep
to make someone happy
to lighten their burden
help change a life
in any way I can
I made a promise
that I would be there
for anyone in need
give to them if I could
their true hearts desire
a promise easily made
to let everyone one know
they can count on me
lean on my shoulder
that I would reach out
in any way I can
My promise I will do
my utmost best to keep
as night turns back to day
I will be strong and brave
so this gift I can give
and to myself I promise
I will try each day
to open up a little more
to prepare myself within
so I can share love again

Watch the curtain twitch
think of the person behind
some would say a busybody
poking, prying in others life's
Stop and think, maybe not
this could be a lonely soul
someone left behind, now lonely
who's children seldom come
The window now their only way
to feel involved in life
watch others having fun
share just a little of their time
how sad to be reduced to this
not able to get out and about
their only glimpse of life
through that lonely window pane

About this poem:
loneliness is a terrible thing age doesn't matter there are many reasons for loneliness, a one parent, lost teenager,a disabled person, a recluse or an elderly person. I recently started a group and the response since the newspaper article last week has been tremenous. So as you rush about your own busy life take just a moment to stop and think is there anyone near by who would like, a phone call, a visit, taking to the shops or a prescription collecting? any help you give in this way helps so much
