Harbour of Love

As a mother cradles her child
and keeps her safe and warm
when all the winds do blow
she's in safe mother's arms

And now full grown are you
your path a stormy walk
I would hold your heart again
when gossips start to talk

So come sweet love and rest
where tongues cannot reside
and lay aside the hurt
in a harbour safe and wide

Caress her

Caress the silent soul
when in the depths it lies
bitten by the wind
of harsh and hurtful fires

The logs and twigs
of careless words
bruise the yellow rose
the depth who knows

Bring love, bring care
bring tenderness too
hold her tight
as tight as glue

No words can reach
no speech so fair
but hold her close
and love her there

Words can fail
as people do
yet arms of love
stay strong and true

Hug her till
the tears cease
and wind and fires
give way to peace

Shake Off Your Blues

Shake off your blues
the day is new
love and life
are waiting for you

Stand firm and sure
this moment's here
cherish the time
that brings us near

Love and laughter
lie waiting for all
the good ship
opportunity
sails that ocean

Strike the band
let the music inspire
open your soul
fly like a bird
higher and higher

Move to the music
sing out a song
life is for living
for giving,
we belong....

Still photos

Image in a photo
lay it close to you
mark the memories
its revealing
beauty and a dream

In the midnight hour
your photos touch me
with the dance
of memories
waltz across the floor

Moonlight shadows stop for us
they see love in bloom
and they just give us
room to hold on
while they just wonder

Take your partners
in the dance of love
hold each other
close together
nothing else compares

The coin

I saw a coin
drop to the floor
within this hectic
busy store

It lay alone
its value poor
its destiny
was now unsure

I watched till
someone picked it up
conveyed it too
a box not square

And now its value
high would be
now to find
her destiny

The box was named
Alzheimer's society
and she was spent
now purposly

Our journeys change
as this coin too
where destiny
can transport you

Face in your hands

Butterflies flit
over the meadow
yellow and white
red and blue

Flowers are waiting
grass is surrounding
as you flit
across the fields

Landing on petals
of fragrant flower
cushion you so
as on you to land

Such is the wonder
such is the beauty
cradle her face
within your arms

Greta the legend
features resemble
moments of romance
echo that sight

Once you were termed
no beauty no good looks
but they had missed
that butterfly girl......

remember the trojan horse

Free yet imprisoned
seeing but blind
senses are active
in a busy mind

Road is so clear
judgement is good
everything ordered
finely chopped wood

Wits are as razor
knowledge is keen
nothing gets past us
or even between

Yet no one can see
the invisible field
that holds hidden danger
where lives we yield

All is as safe
so it appears
but the wooden horse
is soon to appear

Troy was to fall
by deception and flair
and whirling about
deceptions still here

All is not as
it appears to be
hidden things live
if only to see

All things created
speak of a design
a hand in the making
a person divine

All senses and reason
decry this its true
but why are we here
still echoes in you.....

hold a dream

Carve a rainbow
in the moonlight
shed the waves
of tears for all
end the dance
of the moonbeams
early morning
begins to fall

Hold the dream
tender ocean
calm and still
you mighty sea
sink or swim
on our voyage
to the land
where time stands still...

Shes the garden i walk in

Now that i have met you
love has come at last
days of lonely walking
and living, now are past
for i can walk at ease
in the garden of your heart
find the broken fences
and mend them from the start
cottage is awaiting
you are standing there

Beautiful is Debra
with long and flowing hair
In your heart are rivers
in your soul are dreams
i can walk beside you
where summer is so green
i have loved you truly
and this i want to share
love and sweetest dreams
like roses they grow there...

CHERISH THE MOMENT

HOLD HER IN THE MIST OF TIME
AS THE HOURS GO PASSING BY
CHERISH THE MOMENT
CHERISH THE LOVE

HOLD HER IN YOUR ARMS
LET YOUR LOVE BE KIND
AS THE MUSIC PLAYS
AND THE CHORDS UNWIND

KISS HER TENDERLY
TASTE LIPS OF WINE
UPON THE EARTH
WHERE LOVERS DINE

HOLD HER CLOSE

SHOW HER LOVE

BENEATH THE SKY

AND CLOUDS ABOVE

MAKE HER YOUR

PRINCESS

key to your heart

I caught a view of you
looking sad and blue
and everything in me
wanted to reach you
and when i found
the key that lay
upon the floor
of your heart
I picked it up
and opened your soul
and now it starts
finding your love
is finding a jewel
that others never saw

Peggy and the Owl

Out under the stars that night
Peggy walking she had a fright
she saw eyes from a tree
as big as bottle tops
they did appear to be
enough to make her scream

Hey Peggy, don't you scream
it's an owl in leaves of green
"tah wit tah woo"
you hear it say
every night when you pray
"hoot hoot" it's that owl again

"Hoot Hoot"
gets on my toot
like to boot it
with my foot
it ain't ever cute
when it says "hoot hoot"

From it's root
the oak tree grows tall
if I had a remote
I could use the mute
"hoot hoot" – well it
gets on our toot
