unfinished

dark where secrets sleep
my heart was there a key to keep
bound with shadows that never weep
tell stone of face a maker reaps
from eyes in the mirrors deep

lost disciples sleep
in tomb which secrets keep
beneath the worlds womb
where weaves the stars a loom
crafting fine as angels hair
dreams each soul will wear

this cloth of many seasons
looking different from every view

my Goddess become the summer night
warming breath with stars her lips alight
tell hung upon a crescent moon with whispers
herald of the morning sun in flight

for the slow dreams of earth are full in plenitude
and paradise garden is near to hands

tell far as the mighty can fall looking up to remember
lying in a broken shell of youths arrogance
as we learn to speak again
with lips stained green in the blue of humility
drawn with the quaintest of smiles

in shadows of dusk before dawn
where song of birds has come to swallow the night
laying soul on sorrows hearth
with the gift of memory's daughter
echoing names of stars as they fade
this path leading long before us
how many steps will you walk alone

Wight Owl
dreams a feather on the passing moon
with the music changing places
carving seasons in a name
a chapter in this verse
on how the pages turn
awakened on a thread
learning again to remember

stone eyes weep
words on lips which never sleep
golden key to secrets keep
as water through the mind
away your troubles sweep

beneath the weeping moon

beneath a weeping moon she sleeps
tears in loves garden the secrets she keeps
marking footfalls on rain
while binding flowers in chain
twisting petals to shape a name
left to sea in a bottle full of flame
how much we need of love
like wings of the eternal dove
wight and soft as sky
they hold us as we fly
across the night alone
ten thousand years it seams to roam
born in the marks of man
a stela scoured by flying sand
bearing marks of the Goddesses hand
as the water of her love renews the land

memorial poem

for those who gave a soldiers best
come home with flag upon the chest
in which to be laid down to rest
by bugle played by peers
in bed of a family's tears
marking out by the shortening of years

rightmost throne of Mars
the October horse in flames
burdens a troubled brow
with lance of indecision
what seed the wildlings grow
behind face which was a man
groomed with Coyotes laughing smile
when there is no way back
and no way forward
you will have found the place I live
beneath a song birds tree

Coyote Moon

Coyote in the moonlight
whispering steps on forest trail
to find this mountains peak
and unto night here speak
songs written on the moon
by the hand of are ancestors eyes
for some dreams are old as time
climbing the soul of vine

About this poem:
ran across a coyote last night in the forest....he was just a silver shadow on the path..he circled around and followed me for a bit...so I stopped and waited, tell he came back out in the light..we had a little moment, then he went his way and I went mine...

high noon

they stroll down the alley as shadows flee away
come the strike of 12 will be somebody's final day
all the talking done a patch of dirt will have its say
guess it was always meant to be that way
one man walking on,the other on a horse of grey
so tell your woman to pray
and as for your sons, teach them not to stray
because you knew what the price of pride might weigh
yet you damned your soul and did it anyway
now the only hope you have to pay
is that hands are fast in the fray
and the devils not here to get you today
