Oh How I Envy The Sun

Oh How I Envy The Sun

Oh how I envy the Sun with it's yellow golden ray

Because it touched you at the end of it's day

It held you in it's own sweet warm embrace

Tenderly touching your beautiful face

I covered you in it's soft shimmering glow

And caressed you gently before it had to go

Then it feel upon your luscious lips

A goodnight kiss before it's nightly trips

So now you know how much I envy the Sun

For all those things which it has done

Finding all that is left for me to do

Is wait for the night so I can dream of you

Courage

Courage

Courage gives us strength to jump life's gaps,

But the unknown road to courage has no maps.

For most it stays locked away somewhere inside,

They never find that place where it does hide.

Courage is locked away and the key they never find,

Fear keeps them from the key in a corner of their mind.

The path of life has many a strange trail,

Lacking courage is why many of us fail.

I don't know where it is that courage has been stowed,

It kind of follows along emotions tough road,

Sometimes your conviction to anger it stops,

Other times right beside fear it does plop.

Courage takes no sides, no favorites it plays,

It can be impressive, or simple as a kiss some days.

But courage lays there inside of us all,

Waiting for each one of us to make the call.

When we summon up courage to come to our aid,

What most consider impossible we see get made.

Courage can be there in our darkest hours,

But we must call on courage and make it ours.

The simplest fact is that good or bad,

All those life changing days we've all had.

They put a marker in our path in life,

We hope the next life change brings us no strife.

A hand full of days change us, make us who we are,

Shape us into what we've become, put us on our par.

Make us what everyone sees, how we speak when we talk,

Put us on that path in life that we walk

They usually happen on big event days,

Getting married, and our first kid change our ways.

But they happen on days that seem like nothing that day,

Yet they can be so huge they take our breathe away.

The point is; courage is something that you can't buy,

It's inside us, find it or don't there is no try.

If we don't, if we are weak and we pale,

If we don't find our courage, then we fail!

Courage is required for everything we seek,

Even more to win Love, for when there we're weak;

The wind never catches in Love's sail.

If we don't find our courage, even at Love we fail!

From Beyond

From Beyond

Haunting echoes of horrible screams on this cold night

Tingles from moans, groans, and never ending fright

Faint distant cries to ear splitting evil incarnate tones

Rattling chains and creaking of ancient long dead bones

Lost in catacombs corridors ripped right out of time

Caught and held captive, witness to murderous crime

Sleepless dead patrol this night of desperate screams

Confusing reality with thoughts tangled in your dreams

As forces of good and evil fight battles to their death

Uttering their one last gasp with their dieing breath

Horrid illusions so vivid that a mortal may scarcely see

Monstrous misshapen shadows from a dream we can't flee

Tiny tinkling clanks to a heart freezing thunderous roar

Sealed in an eerie tomb as by torch light we're to explore

Haint's screaming insanely making desperate confusion

Searching wildly for an exit lost within this mindless illusion

Baffled and bewildered in the still air thats as cold as ice

Tortured souls burning in this maddening hell paying the price

No mortal knows the words to speak that may just save his heart

In the depths of confusion human conscience gets torn apart

The Magical Realm Of Faraway

The Magical Realm Of Faraway

In a mystical land is The Magical Realm Of Faraway

A magical place of the elves were the dragons play

The dark is lit by luminous plants their glow never dies

Where winged pixies play amidst million's of fireflies

A magical place where tomorrow is never planned

Where the magic of the every day is always grand

With their scales of passion pink mixed with green

Oceans of mermaids playing sirens songs are seen

A place that values their songs as the stories are told

Written with sterling silver quills in inks of pure gold

All the day flying about on a silken silvery cloud

Where every manner of dream and dreaming is proud

There where your wishes may blow in the breeze

Candy canes for money of the realm free as you please

Where the Moon shines so full it's really bright

And around the camp fires are elf songs all night

So when you tire of the woes of the common world

Of it's bitterness, sorrows, and the hatred unfurled

And should your wish then be for a better time

In a magical realm missing hatred, fear, and crime

A world may be changed starting with a right view

And the magic starts right there inside of you

If you truly believe that magic can be done

Passing that along and changing one by one

We can change it to a magic place like Faraway

A mystical place where everyone can play

Sharing all that's good where there is no fear

Then we can all say that Faraway is right here!

Wanted Dead or Alive

Wanted Dead or Alive

He rode in on an old horse of all raw bones

Trackin' this outlaw his eyes cold as stones

Faded ragged jeans and covered in trail dust

Itchy trigger finger because no one he could trust

Hard and grizzled he's a tough ugly old coot

A 44 Colt, big Bowie knife, and razor in his boot

Into the saloon he walked ready for a spoil

He said; gimme a glass and a bottle of snake oil

Everyone went silent not a word anyone spoke

Not one wishing to die so on their words they choke

He paid them no attention, not interested at all

One by one they left before his hammer could fall

The piano player played as he sat drinkin' his booze

He considered dancin' except who would he choose

Then Jill cane round swinging her hips to and fro

So he just grabbed her up and two stepin' they'd go

Rememberin' his outlaws comin', but it's getting' late

He'd come here to get him and so he just had to wait

Suddenly he heard a big fight out in the dusty street

Instantly drawing his 44 Colt as he jumped to his feet

Two steps and his shot rang out fired from behind the door

Ole Red the outlaw staggered in, saw him fallin' to the floor

It didn't go exactly go a way it should or how he'd planned

Still when the sheriff came by he said here's your five grand

That night he bought bottles and they poured drinks all around

Knowin' in the morning he'd ride out without makin' a sound

He woke feelin' good and as he rode out for fun came a cry

He spurred his horse and BANG BANG! yyyeeeehhhhiiiiii!

The Point Of No Return

The Point Of No Return

It doesn't just happen, our passing that point of no return

It's a choice that we must all make when it comes our turn

Then we live with the consequences of the line we decided to cross

With no promise of a positive outcome, for there may be loss

All we can really count on is at that time things will change

Then discovering we have to live within the results range

And right there is where we all find the hardest part

Because we're defined by our past right from the start

A million times about our choices each of us often rethinks

But what we decide, we own, even when it stinks

For that then becomes a part of who we truly are

We may be crossing a raging river to follow our star

But our footprints are there as they should be

Remaining on the other side for all to see
