Happy News Year!

Happy News Year!
More than just a
New Year

Better than the old year
Go to sleep
Old Year
Wake up
New Year

More in store
This New Year
Less tears than the
Old Year

Good News Year
Not bad news
That callender is
Out

2012 In!
The clock starts
Again
A Re-DO
A Yahoo!

Happy News Year
New Friends Year
New Love
This Year?

New Body
New Goals
New Try
At old dreams

Broken Hearts and Other Injuries

I read a blog about a broken heart
Today
Or was it yesterday
Or the day before?

It was a he who posted
Or was it a she?
I think it was both

And then I thought
To myself
Me too
The broken heart thing

But honestly
More angry than
Anything
I am
More frustrated than
Anything
I am

And my heart
Pumps harder

When the Lover
Turns to
Monster
And I wonder
What did I ever see
In him?

Heart pumping even
Harder
Growing harder
Hard enough to
Crack

The good is in there
Somewhere
Right?
Yes?

I may not speak your
Language
But
I sure do understand
You

And I think there will
Always be blogs about
A broken heart

The Artist Jury

I have my mind
And I use it
To express me

I exhibit regularly
To those singularly
Invited

I am in love
With those
Who seem to get
Me

Not many
In my experience
Care to take on
The animal inside me

With that I would
Charish the man who
Understands me
And there is such a thing

I would never forget
The words spoken
In letters or sound
That loosen the collar

And I would never neglect
The hand that feeds me
The kindest words of all
He speaks to me
That of understanding

And so I go
Abroad
In an always changing
Territory
And I am on guard

But
I know who has
My back
And he who has my back
Has my heart

And in my left hand
I hold Calli
And in my right hand
I hold 10k

You

To make the bad thoughts go away
I think of you

If I can't sleep
I think of you

If the loneliness suffocates
I think of you

I close my eyes and
Imagine you
Waiting for me

And those thoughts keep
The tears away

I see you in your crisp white shirt
Rolled up sleeves
Casual elegance
Waiting for me

And I tightly close my eyes
And I imagine whats next
And I begin to forget what hurts me

The closest thing to the
Knight in shining armor
Sits before me in my dreams

And in my dreams
You kiss me

Welcome

Good morning friends
Or
Afternoon

I think of you
While you are
Sleeping

You read my words
While I
Sleep

And our notes
Intersect
In between
Shut eyes

If the timing
Is good
We meet online
In real time

Good morning
Or evening
Friends

Not Really

I'm new here
but
Not really

After a few rounds
Is anyone new?
To This?

Ding Ding
Another round
A go-around

At this thing
Called
Love

White knuckles
Upset stomaches
Weak knees

Ding Ding
Gloves up
Here we go
Again

Too Tired To Sleep

The snoring is coming
From the next room
And I am too tired to
Sleep

TV on and mind racing
No idle hands
Or Shut eyes for
Me

Fingers tapping
Focus lacking
Back to the snoring
That keeps him at rest

As for me,
I am too tired to sleep

Bills to pay
Arms tired of juggling
Laundry to wash
Hands busy folding

The sun has set
I have clocked out
Of work
I have driven home
In the dark
The bed is empty
The pillows fluffed

Still, I am too tired
To sleep

Dating Profiles

We put ourselves
Out there
So far out there

We put our best
Face foreward
Best asset
As far as we are concerned

And we are out there
Equally vulnerable
Equally at the
Judgement
Of who views us

We put our
Emotions
Hearts
Dreams
Hopes
Out there

And the above
So fragile
Event the toughest
Profile
Can feel the sting
Of rejection

We are one nation
Who put our selves out
There
And in unity we waite
For our match to
Match us
