libralad Poetry (5)

As I wander this sandy beach alone
my mind drifts to those days ahead
as I no my life is not complete
some distant paths I need to meet

Retirement for me not far away
I'm looking forward for those days
some trips across blue seas
sunny places I'm sure will please

Its been a while since I left these shores
to visit life so far abroad
excitement flows within my mind
that chance to take and really unwind

So I have to take that leap
jump in those waters
they seem at times to deep
hopefull It will be a treat

But for now I must be patient
coming days I will be awakened
will climb aboard that powerfull jet
to leave this place with no regret.

I look out on the world
and what do I see
The mass populations gone mad
and Its not helping me

To many people
and not enough food
Poverty all around
with very little help to be found

Pollution everywhere
a majority that dont really care
Its all about the money
raking in the honey

Crime is running rampant
with out a means to dampin it
Prisons crowded,murder without care
what to do,so common everywhere

Cruelty to children,animals,and people
thats what I'm seein,thats what I hear
Terrorism is spreading out
like a disease,spilling tears far and near

Guns and weapons,far to many
in all the wrong hands
Created by some governments
so thats the way It stands

Where has all the love gone
smothered by the need for greed
Wealth in the wrong places
held by the folks with high statice

The oceans are a dumping ground
million of trees and jungle
Clear fowled every day
animals caged or slaughtered in dismay

The planet is warming up
and we all point the finger
Saying It wasn't my fault
well we all need to grow up

Hold our hands in the air
and say,hey I care
Show some love
make it a better place to bare

Wandering through the quiet woods
a little fantail appears
It dances in the air from branch to branch
in this special place we both can share

Then suddenly I come upon
a quiet sparkling stream
beams of light flicker through the trees
with a magical delight Its not a dream

Its still winter freshness spills the air
snowy grey clouds cover the sky
with paddocks of blue
just barely poking through

My little dog leads they way ahead
a look of excitement on his face
enjoying the jouney through this wilderness
alone together in our secret secluded space

Many hours we wander alone
weaving along the mossy tracks
where we go at time's we dont no
caught in nature's beauty the perfect show

The crazy noisy city life
has left us all behind
no great rush to have it back
I'd have to give up these leafy tracks

The trees the leaves
the birds and the bees
have snatched me away
Its so lovely I could come here everyday.

It happens all the time
our minds drifting to the past
Those shady thoughts disturbing us
oh why do they allways last

Next thing wham the future
your off on those dreams
will they come will it work
so nice a peace full life

Back and forth our minds sweep
happiness sadness up then down
never ending rollercoaster
traped In a stiorm of mindfull thoughts

Well Im told you can escape
this is the secret to happiness they say
Live in the moment live in the now
forget the past Its gone

Those dreams of the future may never come
so being in the now happiness will shower
good fortune will come to you
Beauty is everywhere open your eyes

The wind rustling through the trees
The clouds floating above the seas
The birds singing in the sun
Its all there so have some fun.

It can be such a simple thing

No snares no traps, no demands for that

We are on the journey of life

Unfortunatly for some it can be a blight

Those important things never go right

Greed power wealth and control have left us short

Just a smile is all it takes

And a little respect to all creatures great and small

Love thy neighbour love thyself

And travel softly upon thy shore

And the world will be a better place for all.
