Of Poetry & Paintings

Of Poetry & Paintings or Framed Words.

The paintings that I’ve painted, now part of history
As the words that I have written, poetry from me
Feelings put on canvas, or typewritten to implore
Compassion, Love, Lust, Desire or more.

Let not these words offend, for as my souls regret,
Is that, as yet, it still remains as free,
Though I am not adverse to passions, wants,
Infact the opposite is quite true for me.

Subjects chosen, words are written, laid free hand,
As brushes cover paper, as Paint flows, oozing free,
They are not, within constraints a perceived reality.

As an artist I am weary, of those, who’re envious of life,
As a Poet I’m not satisfied, that as an Artist I am right
Life has played a cruel and nasty prank you see.

When beauty beckons, to be painted or revered,
There’s a rush right to the door,
By the Artist and the Poet
Who?, who has been there first before.

With words so softly spoken, poetically to hear,
Or with deft brush strokes, that wash in the image clear,
Competition from within is fine, unless, chagrin,
Neither the Artist, nor the Poet, ever, ever, win.

Gods Princess

Gods Princess
Ok so now I’m writing here, I know you’ll never find me
Because, I was on here, every time I send a message
Off to you, I get the same response it bounces back from you
I know I don’t fit what you really want and that’s a shame
It’s only History and time to blame, so Godsprincess,
I’ve decided this attempt to write a poem for you.
To thank you for your interest, in what I often do
I write my poems and read responses left from you,
You seem to me to be so nice so I’ve written this for you.
Godsprincess, my goodness me, every time I can’t get through
I’ve tried to say, Thank you, thank, You for being you.
So I’m too old or not your kind, don’t know what I did
Bugger me, was it because you’re looking, for one as young as you
So Butterflies and Dandelions, I hope you read this too
Godsprincess, Cause this message is purely meant for you.
Thanks I love your comments but I can’t reply to you.

A poem for Robin Williams

A Poem for Robin Williams

Robin you always made me Laugh and cry at the same time
I laughed so hard sometimes my sides ached and tears ran
You gave me everything and more, while always wanting more
I cry now because youve gone and left a painful gap your life gone
Now I know that you wore the mask that many know and wear
Despair and dread Depression raised its awful head mask hidden
I’ve been chased by this dreadful curse and worn the mask to hide
But you my friend took it to its final bow to end when all not was good
Robin so many loved you she’s and He’s our tears are for your passing
You gave Mork meaning and in everything you did your Humour
Reigned supreme a magician with feelings producing laughter
When so easily tears could follow, such pain you bore Robin
Hidden away behind you Mask you Bore you give me hope
To recognise the beast that took you from us a Hideous thing
Depression a multitude of things your Mask concealed away
None can help you now too late but you Robin are helping us all
To fight the savage beast within us and unmask out true feelings
To identify in us to thosee that wear the mask sometimes like you
Thank you my famous friend I’ll carry your Humour with me
For the rest of my life, thank you “Nanoo Nanoo!”

Sunset Country or Lands to Sand

Sunset Country or Lands to Sand

When the bonds of winters tears, are all but gone about
the windows pane, no damp to bear nor cold to blame,
suns rays of tender comfort warms not the winter chills
away, or succumb to slumber in the arms of natures dry
watched as the barometers fall and climb to find no rest

Parched eyes scan the skies, reddened by the bloody dry
not a drop was bled from heavens breast, half the top up
went south, no good will come of it, wind simply stole
the best and more, Drought you’re natures bloody hoar
paid a bitter price for life, no profit in sweet remorse

As the shadows of the sheep, that’s left there to stand at
muddied water troughs thin out and grinning skins array
on planes of whitened bones, sot red barren powdered dust
that fills the air, a rough and tough breed can take no more
even steel has its limit, torn, worn away by shifting sands

Neighbors left long time ago, to smart to loose the plot
like chaff before the wind, searching out a place to drop
tempting thoughts that fills ones head to much to loose
not enough is said, riches brought by sweat and toil in
country highway veins to cites simply brought to sell

What happens if we all sell up, without support you die
starved of heavens gift of rain we drink the milk of god
who’s left there to start again, as the desert takes it toll
reclaimed yet it bears the scars of time, rusting, rotting
monuments of what was another time.

Maybe

MAYBE
Maybe I will find you
when I'm not looking there
Maybe you will find me
really will we care
Maybe you will smile at me
as eyes meet cross a room
Maybe it's our time to meet
may it be so very soon
Maybe you will feel the same
as heart and pulses pound
Maybe a flush will ebb and flow
as feelings mix and show
Maybe there's a tremble
as a glass your fingers round
Maybe you are happy
at last for me you've found
Maybe it's our time of love
that's left us both alone
Maybe you will say my name
and do it so with love
Maybe I too will heed the call
at loves sweet invitation fall
Maybe I'm a romanticist and all
who want's to fall in love
Maybe I'm not too scared to let
loves feelings rule my head
Maybe they'll convince myself
as never have been said
Maybe we've been hurt before
but will have another try
Maybe next time is now
may we now
Maybe.

The GATE

The GATE
or Moments Reflect

When something’s worth keeping, don’t let it go
fight to retain the love that you’ve known for
when the love that you have seems faded and worn
search for its meaning where love is reborn.

For in a moment of anger, when something’s not right
surely can lead you away from the love of your life
when all pathways seem leading apart from the start
remember the gateway where you lost your heart

When turning away all that was good, seemed right
at the time, ponder this loss and the pain in your heart
if words don’t come easy, try the truth from the start
take it from me, for I lost my heart alone in such strife

I beckon you caution, firstly, please hear my words
If the love that you carry, was your reason to marry
or was it your reason to leave it, back left at the gate
swapping your loves romance for hurting and hate

I doubt that you’ve, entirely forgotten the truth
when feelings often raised, more than the roof
now, those memories linger and wont go away
simply by wishing them not to stay.

You Learn Loves meaning

Learning love’s meaning
After a while you learn, the subtle difference, between holding a hand and chaining a heart.

Then you learn that love does not mean leaning and that company doesn’t mean security and you learn that kisses aren’t contracts and presents aren’t promises.

Begin to accept your defeats with your head held up and both your eyes open with the dignity of an adult and not the grief of a child.

So you learn to build all your roads on today, because tomorrow’s ground is too uncertain for plans and futures have a way of falling down in mid flight.

After a while you learn, that even sunshine burns if you get too much.

So plant your own garden and decorate your own soul, instead of waiting for someone to bring you flowers.

And you will learn, that you really can endure and that you really are strong and that you really do have worth.

And so you learn and Learn, that with every Good Bye ... You learn,

You ... learn.

The Goodnight Prayer

The Goodnight Prayer

Sweet dreams and bubble machines
Of butterflies wings on gossamer streams
Of bluebells and sleigh bells and soft little kittens
Of sunshine and raindrops and frost on your mittens
Of love in the morning and kisses at night
Of hugs all the time to make it just right
So believe me this time, not just when I say
I Love you my darling and that’s
Here to stay.

So sleep with my kisses
And dream in my arms
Breathe soft in my ear
Lend me your charms
And we’ll both awaken
With each in our arms.

Trust Me

Trust Me 0r ( Worth a Chance )
Trust Me ? ............ Trust Me ?, Trust, Me, trust me, Why
I hear you say to that, “I would never trust anyone who says, trust me !”
to this I say to you, take a chance on my word for it is real and worthy.

The “T” it stands for the Truth, real love and friendship brings
The “R” it stands for Real, feelings not false corrupted lies
The “U” it stands for Undeniable, as one for all to see
The “S” it stands for Surety, believe it, for it’s true
The “T” remaining, Tested by time will tell

As for the Me, I think you’ll know of me
that as only time will tell
I ask for Trust
no more
Just.

Soul Mates

Soul Mate...............
Have you seen my sunsets from the other side, and the mighty gnarled and windswept coasts, who’s waves roll up the beaches and fill your heart inside, where gulls are circling overhead and you’re glad to be alive, but, something’s missing, there‘s no one there, to even share, this moment that’s arrived, and as without, whom beside, it’s gone alone, that special time, moments meant
to share, in loves embrace, that no one else will ever see, for as the sun, sets never twice the same, yet on life’s beaches there I’ll see, that loves waves keep rolling on, so my Soul Mate where ever you may be, you and I are special, linked together, you and me, as the rainbow comes with rain, I search for life and thee, my soul mate, I’ll search life’s sands forever, till no longer do the sunsets fill the heavens, or waves span the oceans wide, so, do not come and search me out, if alone, is all, you wish to be, for all else, it is foolishness, soul mate, especially for you and me,
for if it feels wrong now then it surely was never meant to be.
