Take me Back in Time

Have people lost their touch on humanity...Or am I just losing my sanity...Take me back to dial phones...And old Victorian homes...

Lavender Sunset

Lavender Sunset.
Waves crashing on the shore.
Sea glass on the sand.
My friend at my side.
Sea gulls keeping us company.
Friendly words being exchanged.
Laughter out loud.
Joy in my heart.

"What Makes Us all Different"

People don't get my humor....
And, I don't indulge in their rumor....

Floating on Different Sides of the Tide

Couples, couples, couples everywhere.
I wish the sight of them didn't make me care.
You're so far away
If only You welcomed my stay.
I miss having you close to me.
Little things made me happy, even when we sat and had a cup of tea.
I miss listening to you playing the guitar.
If you only knew, I would admire you from afar
Your company often made me calm...
Just by the touch of your palm.
I wish I could look into your eyes.
Those blue eyes never tell lies
I often go outside and look up at the moon.
I wish I could come see you, by a flight of a broom.
I know you think I didn't like your boat.
That's not true, however, I am amazed it always stayed afloat
Boating is something that I miss...
Especially the touch of your kiss
Sometimes life can be unkind...
Like, the fact that you had to leave your son behind.
Sad, but true, your time is consumed
With little time for you to share...
And, that makes phone calls and quality time, hard for you to spare
Fate is not on our side.
We are floating on different sides of the tide.
We keep trying to paddle to each other, but the wind keeps pushing us apart...
I am sad, and tired, and believe I have a broken heart

Life Lesson From the Sea

While walking the beach today, I learned a few lessons. I collect sea glass and old collectibles, that wash up on shore. I find it very relaxing and adventurous! It isn't always easy to find these treasures, it takes patience and an eye to spot out these beauties, that could be very small, or large. At times, I it can take me 30min to find one treasure. But, then there are times the perfect sea glass is right under my nose. My first lesson I realized today, is when I found a piece of sea glass, that wasn't fully formed into a good sea glass. I decided to throw it back in the ocean, for 2 reasons. One, I didn't want anyone to step on it, two, the Sea needed more time to shape the glass, to perfection. As I threw it into the ocean, I looked down, and right before my eyes, was the perfect sea glass! I learned at that moment, the truth and example of giving back. When you give back, you get back, tenfold. My second lesson I learned from that moment, sometimes, you don't have to actively seek out the right person, job, or friendship. Sometimes, it may be right in front of you; that it will come, when you are not looking for it. How wonderful it is to learn the importance of life's meaning, from nature!
