“I said it first”

Under star light at midnight
One wish takes flight.
A mind filled with careless whispers
Airy feeling that gives jitters
Playing “Russian roulette” with no luck.
There’s rose I’m afraid to pluck.
Love struck or just another crush?
Blood boiling, adrenalin rush.
Cluster of thoughts.
Is this a bridge I should cross?
Second guessing, emotions racing.
Left to right pacing.
Drink in my distress you evil temptress.
Weaken by your every caress.
Wicked are your fingertips.
Drunken by the taste you leave on my lips.
Wondering will love eclipse doubt?
Suffocating, drowning in the moment I just blurted it out.
“I’m in love with you”
And your reaction was like if a cloud burst.
But when anyone ask, i can always boast “I said it first”

Foolish Concubine

Even though this bond can never be renewed.
Apart of me misses you.
I have tried to absolve your existence from my life.
But its like a never ending strife.
Such a tedious chore leaving my soul sore.
Sometimes I think I’m winning the fight but I’m scared that I’ll lose the war.
I don’t regret you.
But I want to forget you.

A chemistry of depravity
I’ve seen the clemency with this unwanted clarity.
This mystery doesn’t need a clue
There can never be a “me and you.”
My heart don’t believe it.
But my mind knows it.
My mind has given up but my heart clench on to hope.
In search for that celestial miracle that grants a reunion, forever with it probe
My very being divided, never can I be whole.
Because I’ll always be in love with you, only you in this world.
Amiable enmity with this heart and mind of mine.
My heart is your foolish concubine.

“Beauty in the world seen through my eyes”

Have you ever seen a morning star
out in the distance afar?
Shining the brightest in dawn’s darkest hour.
Or how little diamonds from a rain shower
complements the full bloom of a flower?
How a rainbow paints the sky with an ambiance of color,
that can be rivaled by no other.
From ivory blankets of snow to seas of emerald green
the most captivating things of all that I’ve seen.
The one thing that makes my every day worthwhile,
is the glimpse of your angelic smile.

Confession's test flights

Is there such a thing as love at first sight?
Or is it really one of this soul’s lustful plights?
My heart chose you as its object of desire.
Tediously this mind of mine aspires.
Tsunami of thoughts, formulating, devising how to spend even one moment with you.
Procrastination delays the ability to contrive.
Numerous test flights, talking to myself.
False starts ensued with pacing back and forth.
The finish line looks so far away.
What scares me more than failing
Is leaving things this way, not giving my heart a voice.
To be trapped in abyss of silence because of fear.
Even if I taste sadness’s tears and be wounded by rejection’s spear.
At least I would have said those words looking at you,
With a rose extended in the grasp of finger tips
A confession will be uttered from these lips.
With starry eyes and a stomach full of butteries,
I would say “I’m in love with you.”

"Time travel"

Time travel,
Only if it was a ball of twine only I can unravel.
To command the gears of time.
The entire world will be mine.

To have today’s knowledge yesterday.
I’ll dance eloquently in any fray.
Be the most unscrupulous villain.
A notorious lover, cupid the barbarian.

Never a first time or mistake.
Be your keepsake.
Bathe you with guilty pleasures,
Without having to take precautions or measures.

Knowing every approach to achieve your ecstasy ,
As if I’m the one who pens destiny.
There’s no need for a prophecy
On the sea of passion, I’ll be your odyssey.

Your sultry adulterer.
Enchantment’s sinister conjurer.
Though I’m nothing more than an amateur.
the enlightenment of every essence of you is my adventure.

"Separated by Miles!"

Leaving on the evening's breeze
and arriving on a sunrise soil.
Here a breath of cold air caresses
the land with a frosty kiss.

Little jewels of dew sleep on the emerald leaves
as they glisten in the sun like diamonds.
Time stands still as if the sands in the hour glass cease to fall.

Roaming on the lush parries on a summer's day, as
the clouds dance on the morning's sky.
Butterflies whisper's an enchanting song into the ears of the flowers. Chanting a melodious prayer
before they feast on the sweet nectar.

Now separated by miles, though clustered by love,
memories open the wounds as they reminisce.
Using memories as portals, to travel back in time,
when their love flourished like flora and fauna in the wild.

Now lost in despair, helpless as a child,
loneliness conquers, seizing them captives.
Two soul grieves, as if death himself came knocking on their door. Two hearts bleed without a drop of blood, as tears of sorrow stream down their faces like rain.

With one breath they both breathe in melancholy, tasting its bitterness as if it was medicine. But this disease has no cure, this wound will never heal. No sedatives will bring relief to this pain.

Transgression of a heart.

When will this insomnia cease?
Shallow be the depths of peace.
With a restless mind
To a bed, ropes of sleep can never bind.
Burning the mid-night oil
As time continues to toil.

When will these typhoons of emotions be stilled?
Is this what destiny has willed?
Schemed with devilish hands
Never a servant, always the one who commands.
This pioneer who’s adamant about this acquisition.
With an unrelenting ambition which leaves me in a weaken disposition.

When will the bugle siren surrender and white flag be lifted?
On trial for a crime and can never be acquitted.
Still a prey on the run and predator ensue a chase.
I flee with a gazelle’s pace and she follows with a lioness grace.
What’s my crime you may ask?
Transgression of a heart.

Dear reader:
My plea: Not guilty!
My defense: If I did steal, rob, pilfer her heart, then how can she be alive? Isn’t your heart that thumping thingy in your chest that makes you live and without you’ll die? If I have it in my possession, how come she not dead? Scientifically is not possible for me to steal it and she to still be living, so people of the jury, I’m innocent, I rest my case!

"Let me go"

Let me be not the anchor that keeps your heart,
the ship at a port of misery.
As I sail away upon the seas of the after life,
may hope be the wind that kisses my sails.
Watch me go into the sunset not with tears of loss
but with a smile that my journey will set a course
where we'll meet again. If you come to miss me,
the memory of me will tread softly in your dreams

Another world.

Sometimes I wake in a dream hoping that this world becomes real.
With every extension of the hand I grasp but I cannot feel.
It’s like casting a line and nothing comes up when you reel.
Riding on the steed of adventure in this paradox.
Constellations above glare in witness to the showdown between tiger and ox.
The cemented sun dial’s shadow constitutes the absence of time.
Everything in this box from summits high to canyon’s deep is mine.
But what I search for I cannot find.
Cursed must be this sight for I must be blind.
The mind empty graves as old schemes resurrect.
Weary is ambition as this soul digests regret over failed prospect.
What good are words when there’s no one else to share dialect?
In creation imagination chose one thing to neglect.
Absent be the one who this heart holds so dear.
Without you this world is evidently barren and bare.

"if you only knew" lucy's challenge!

Idle be seconds as my heart race.
Questioning should I keep faith?
Should I give chase or stand cemented in this place?
Do I have a chance or is it too late?

Temperament tragic
Desperation rise
Emotions erratic.
Conquistadors capitalize.

Colonialized inhabitant called fears
Acquired a fortune of despair
Rained will be a monsoon of tears.
Forever be broken, never can time repair.

If only you knew,
This would be my reality if I lost you!

“Mines to keep.”

“Mines to keep.”

From moments like these
To dreams in my sleep.
Tears you make me weep
Even this life you made so bleak.
To wounds so deep and severed veins that leak.
Are all mines to keep…

"These fragments of time"

"These fragments of time"

A voice once whispered a question to my heart.

Why do you love me?

Composed posture and attentive ears wait for the answer

But impatient eyes seek to read the words as they leave my lips.

With an unguarded smile a list of reasons came in the response.

That moment was penned in the dairy of my memory.

Years passed and now there is no we, just “you and I”.

As I look into those same eyes, I hope for that question to be asked.

But I may never again hear those words from you.

So if you ever read this and wonder what my answer would be?

My response would be “I have no reasons.”

For when you have reasons for loving someone then you love them with your mind.

But when you love them for no reason then you love them with your heart.
