This is 'Le Mont-Saint-Michel' in Normande, France.
I used to do 9day tours of Brittany when I was a 'coach driver'.
A most beautiful place.

It is a Monastery now or was when I went there. There are steps that take you right up to the top and I can tell you it is a very steep climb. The narrow road that takes you up there is lined with tiny shops and cafe's all on the slope.
If ever you get the chance you must visit it, you won't forget the experience I promise you.
