Ah Vinny I will have to show you a wee pub in Hope Street. Hundreds of Malt Whisky brands on sale ......You could not pay the cash for the most expensive

Last time I was in Glasgow Pat I had a few whiskeys. Long story but my brother was in the Uni and we got word from his psycho girlfriend at the time that he was having some problems. I was 21 at the time. Anyway I decided to go over to see for myself for a brief trip and thankfully he was fine and it was just his g/friend looking for attention.

Anyways on the one full day we had on my visit we drove out to Loch Lomond in the morning after a hearty brekkie. We took a long walk and decided to have a pint. We had 3/4 in a beautiful pub on the Loch and decided we really needed to get rid of my car The naievety of youth. Anyway we arrived back, parked up and went drinking. We had no mobile phones at the time so we had arranged with his girlfriend to meet in a particular pub between 5 and 6 and if she wasn't there she couldnt make it.

So about 2 we started a pub crawl and arrived in the said pub about 3.30. The bar was full of malts in front of a humongous mirror and while we were sipping a pint we decided to taste a few. Anyways his girlfriend didnt turn up so about 6.15 we left and headed somewhere else. Didnt get back to his place till about 3 in the morning

The following morning the conversation was hilarious.

G/friend: I arrived in the pub at 6.20 and you were gone but the barmaid was funny.

Brother: well you were late...........what did the barmaid have to say.

Girlfriend: I aksed her whether there was two Irishmen in here this p.m.

Barmaid: Oh yeah...............there were and they were great craic, but they are just gone.

Girlfriend: Did they look like they were going home.

Barmaid: Thoise two...........No chance

I wouldnt be able for it now though

If I ever make it to Scotland you have GOT to take me to where they make their Talisker!
