Mail-in ballots.....

...Because they somehow see it will benefit their addiction to power, as with rank choice voting, the lefties are all behind this set up for typical Democrat Chicago style, voter fraud. The Kitty mentioned below,, peace be upon her, serves as one cautionary tale, ---when incompetent, jobs for life, paper pushing, non-essential, fat benies/pension, corrupt state employees have a hand in things.
Don't take my words for it. Ever watched a municipal road crew on the job, for sewer or road work, or such? A half dozen "workers" on site, one using a shovel, another operating the back hoe, and the rest smoking, laughing, and leaning on their tools.
Check out the government office mega-buildings in DC, or any state capitol. Be sure to have good binoculars to see the extent of most. The founding FATHERS would be rolling in their graves.
But wait, there's more. We all know how lotteries are run by the state. Only less than half is paid back to players. Most is for administration, and the general fund, to be pissed away, as above.
Next time you are lucky enough to win, especially if a lot, don't cash out where you purchased the ticket. Just write a grateful note, include your address, and say you trust them to receive the request and winning ticket, and to send you back the money. Don't sign the ticket.

Wein auf Bier, das rate ich Dir...

...Bier auf Wein, das laesst man sein. Learned in my drunken student days in Freiburg. OK to drink some wine after starting with beer, but not the other way around.
Urban legend, perhaps. But I found it to be true. Burp Burp.

Office and bed side clinical testing, and screening instruments, for cognitive deficits....

...of which there are several, all tests with documented forms of validity/reliability, sensitivity/specificity, and all in use daily. Most are no longer copyrighted, so any clinician can burn off copies, for use with grandmomsie and grandpopsie dearests. In clinic, with concerned family typically in tow.
In light of the recent balloon floating CALL by the NYT for wiggle room, VERY wiggly, for sniffy, creepy Mr. Joe Biden in upcoming presidential debates, watch for the leftie biased print and broadcast media to begin to weigh in on this topic. Certainly so, given what any one can see, following the likely impaired Ex VP Biden's act.
Passes and softballs, as with Hilary, ---on Vince Forster, Bengazi, cattle futures, college thesis, and so much more, were legion. Many of hers being orange jump suit behaviors. And as with the last (full tilt affirmative action) POTUS. But who really thinks that mere softy pitching, and sequestering of Mr. Biden in his basement, will suffice? Watch assistants, having great concerns, while towing him onto stage each time, with worried hearts, VERY worried. Ditto for impressions of (especially decisive ) swing voters? So the fix is on. Hide him, and hold on the testing.
We saw the dozens of sequentially failed witch hunts to stage repeat coups on our legally, VERY legally, elected president Trump. Among such, unethical (sans examination) waxing diagnostic by alt leftie clinicians, who should know better. Recall hunt number lucky 13. Invoking the 25th amendment to cancel the election on grounds of presidential cognitive compromise. Fortunately, during his physician yearly examination, such testing was done, with our Brilliant and Dazzling President Trump turning in near perfect scores. As he rightly claims. As the Doc told us. Don't take my words for it.
But we now hear reports that in spite of what all can witness, SOMEHOW, such testing was conveniently omitted, during the EX VP's last physician physicals. If any student clinician would fail to recommend such testing after spending 5 minutes with the Ex VP, ---well, they'd be repeating the clinical neurology clerkship experience. Are we beginning to see any patterns to protect, hide and to mislead in all this?
I say YES! ---as do an increasing number of voters. But as with tropes from leftie institutions, such as teachers' and their corrupt unions, many health care workers, other organized labour, the corrupt FBI, almost all of the Demon-crat Party, and so many more, ---well, don't hold your breath.
Anyone can foresee how the Trump Derangement-Hilary Deficit Syndrome ueber lefties here will try to spin these FACTS, but just stay tuned. And, as always, can't make any of this up, folks.

Politics, as usual....

...SCOTUS Chief Justice Roberts, a Bubba Bush Court appointee, again sides with the four lockstep lefties of the Court. He now supports lesser professional requirements on physicians performing clinical fetus murder (CFM), in Louisiana, after instead having dissented on a similar case in Texas a few years ago.
Beginning with a similar move in support of allowing the confiscatory fees/fines in The Obama Unaffordable Care Act to be designated as a part of taxes, many wonder what's up?
But fret not, fascist, xenophobe and racist Trump supporters. Gun and Bible toting irredemables all. Immediately after the decision was out, top Dems expressed concern that it could (definitely will) be used in support of Trump's reelection. Certainly by energizing his formidable base, but more importantly, with the near 10% of important swing undecided voters, who once again will decide the vote. Many are against CFM. One more Trumpster member of the court, replacing dream time Ms. Ginsburg, and it could be bye bye Rowe v. Wade.
Astute wonks wonder, if perhaps this is therefore a backhanded move in support of Our Brilliant and Dazzling President Trump. Justice Roberts, long a member of the ruling classes in the swamp, is mindful of his place in herstory, and is pretty clever, in his own right.
This is one of many such powerful political tropes that will be used to assure four more years, a better court, and completion of the many now only partially kept election promises. And at little expense to Justice Roberts, as he put emphasis on Stare Decisis, re Texas, in his write up.
Slicko. VERY slick.

"silent scream” lyrics

Twenty four and he believes for
Sure he's got it made
Fame is here for good and
Looks will never fade
He doesn't know
The game is never over 'till
The cards have all been played

Eighty three and still he feels
His best is yet to come
He believes that youth is
Wasted on the young
He's alone
The only dream he ever has
Is being with someone

Love you when your standing tall
But nobody knows you when your falling
All you have to do is call
But nobody ever hears the silent scream

Christmas came and went again
But still nobody came
Staring at her wedding photo in a frame
She's alone
We should hope the loss of memory
Helps to ease the pain

Memories, moments you recall
We should be remembered for the
Greatest of them all
You can't begin to live someone
Else's life
Or you're own will pass you by

Oh, who's to know
Maybe we can learn a thing or
Two from everyone

Another record

Hey, GG. I've also been here for a while, since almost as long as the good Lord made dirt. And as many know, I can have sharp typing fingers. Threatened one time by a drunken immigrant Swiss female, "I'd like to put a hot poker up your arse." And by one Ozoid male, who likely misunderstood things, and said "I'll break both of your arms and legs". Could have heard many more such things.
Placing both in context, the first involved alcohol, so nuff said. The second may have been similar, and when I discussed it with an elite soldier, a family member, who understands conflict at many levels, he said, not to worry at all. "Is he living next door or 10,000 Km away? Was the physical threat impossible to complete, anatomically? And several other such questions. He then said, "Bar tenders hear these things around closing time, when the frustrations of another lonely night, and a lonely morning hangover beckon. Fear and envy, rather than any real threat." Nuff said.
This is a well designed site, and provides different things to many. But for me, the many ancillary features here, such as blogs, help fulfill the basic roles of searching for committed companionship, and of course entertainment. As such, we all reveal ourselves, often in boast, and anger, in various manners. In my own way, I try to inform, to correct the incorrect, and to show off a bit. And the feedback helps in my choice of a next gig. Even the feedback of the lower class folks has it's place. Often devoid of real argument, and tending toward vulgarity and ad hominem comments on physical characteristics of others, all can teach us all. For me, the lessons are on better writing. Or even tolerably decent writing. Or stopping crappy writing. But in our search for mates, character comes across quite clearly. I'm a fat little illiterate Vierk Gnome, don't you know, among other kind/revealing epithets? Sort of has grown on me.
The cyberscritinizers here seem to get it, rarely tossing away the keys to CS jail for too long. Sure, perhaps more work could be done with the high percentage of scammers. But even here, the opportunity to learn is appreciated.
So welcome back. If that's what the blog means. And disallowing comments teaches us all a bundle as well. As does never blogging itself. Can't imagine ever doing so. Just often pay things a good deal of tactical ignoring.

A skulk of foxes...also called a leash...new words for the Vierk Curmudgeon...

Mom, I think, and six kits. Walking with Bravo this AM, I noticed what looked like a large hare upright on hind legs, near brush and high grass in a neighbor's yard. Of course, useless hunter dog took his good time before he saw anything.
Walking further, I saw it was a red fox, and nearby were six kits, romping about. Mom was on guard and staring right at us, defiantly, and by this time, Bravo was tugging to be on the chase. Of course, I didn't let him, and just then another neighbor stopped by on the way to the first neighbor's house, for morning tea, and to watch the antics together through the windows. Old lady friendship stuff.
Now, from time to time, even in this partially rural small urban town, we see critters galore. Moose and deer have walked through the back 40 here, as have foxes, and many others. While the red tailed hawks, ospreys and bald eagles circle-hunt from above. Smaller birds chase the larger crows away, apparently after a raid on the nest. And we often see new families of voles, moles, mice and chipmunks, not to mention the grey and red squirrels about. The last are particularly dangerous, even deadly at times. When they get into an attic, they chew and short out the romex, setting off a fatal house fire. Can't make this stuff up, folks.
So I enthusiastically called the ex next door to inform her. She has often had to shoe away adult foxes, while her two cats, Miss Angel and Miss Lilly, now sadly gone, were outside, hunting on their own. The reception was one of interest, but not without criticism. "Sure, they are cute, but will soon be hunting cats and small dogs". "And of all people, YOU should know that they are a reservoir of rabies"
Now, while we were an item, I would have countered, perhaps with a few choice words of my own. After all, I've written here how, in these urban settings, for a variety of reasons, cats are best kept indoors. Farm felines are a different matter.
But I pride myself on not being drawn into a fray, with great potential for escalation, and never a clear victor, as many here will know. And, I just hope it all carries over to the next intimate relationship. Can old dogs really ever learn new tricks?
Woof woof.

Memorial Day in the USA...

Should not have listened to a Great War piece before electo-trimming the bushes. As I cut, swaying destructively back and forth, with great cutting power, and such ease, I'm reminded of two things in the broadcast. How almost a third of soldiers had continuously to be hounded by their subalterns and officers to actually SHOOT at the advancing enemy. And of how thousands were torn apart and cut to pieces, only to lie dying, in piles upon each other, in hopeless agony, sometimes merely getting within meters and grenade range, of the machine gun nest.
The research on PTSD advances. It's now much more inclusive as to diagnoses. Oddly, merely these thoughts place me in a place of intense survivor guilt. And sadness.
