World’s First Bed-and-Breakfast Powered By Electric Cars Offers FREE Luxury Nights....NICE!

I need to MIGRATE...seriously! Or, maybe find myself a good British boyfriend on CS (real quick!) and we both go enjoy "FREE Luxury Nights" here...together blushinggrinwine

The world’s first car-powered bed-and-breakfast has opened to the public—with all power supplied by electric vehicles for a true off-grid experience. Situated outside of London in Essex, England, the secluded accommodation offers a quiet escape for two to the countryside—and the luxury stay is free for whichever winners are picked at random.

Guests will enjoy a local menu and mixology-curated drinks using innovative and sustainable ingredients sourced within Essex—all served in an outdoor bar and dining area near a fireplace amid a forest. The new concept, Hotel Hyundai, was launched by the car brand alongside broadcaster Grace Dent to introduce their new electric vehicle. The whole experience will be powered through the Hyundai IONIQ 5’s V2L feature, which harnesses the car’s electricity to power other appliances through an adaptor.

The three-week pop-up hotel giveaway comes in the wake of new poll showing 44 percent would like to go on more short staycations, rather than traveling long distances. With the public citing sustainability, supporting local businesses, and stress-free travel, UK travelers will find it all in this pop-up vacation destination.
Grace Dent, curator of the hotel concept, says, “We’re looking for unique, memorable stays now, more than ever, and this is a delicious blend of innovation, luxury, and comfort that gets you thinking.

Another perk is an outdoor cinema that will give guests the opportunity to kick-back, relax and unwind. 53 percent of respondents to the OnePoll survey would also like to invest their vacation cash in local UK economies rather than abroad—and half agreed nothing beats a holiday in the great British countryside. Hotel Hyundai is open for 14 nights from October 19 to November 5 to members of the public who’ve won a stay. Sign up by October 19 and choose three preferable dates.

The stay includes one night in the deluxe woodland cabin, surrounded by 200 acres of walking trails around a working farm with ancient forests and a babbling brook. Your 3-course menu for dinner will be personally prepared, with your food preferences collected in advance, along with a full breakfast. They’re giving away 14 one-night complimentary stays—but you need to fill out the entry form by October 19 at the vacation website, Kip Hideaways, which offers ‘small places with soul’.

“This hotel concept has been possible thanks to IONIQ 5 and the supply of power, where an adapter from the car provides a socket which domestic appliances can be plugged into,” said Ashley Andrew, from Hyundai Motor UK. “The whole experience demonstrates the practicality of this pioneering technology, and we hope the concept inspires more people to go off grid.”

Really nice....

Your daily dose of Donald... 10-14-2022

Less than 24 hours after the house select committee investigating the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol riot had another televised meeting yesterday that called for Trump's subpoena, the ex-president responds. He's submitted a 14 page document stating the 2020 presidential election was rigged and stolen.

About the hearing...

Maybe you're not hearing what I'm hearing about the hearing... for those few, it doesn't matter how much evidence is presented to you now... does it?

The October 13th 2022 hearing brought about new facts about the January 6th insurrection. Pleading the 5th came from several Trump allies who refuse to testify and now the focus is on Trump.

Billboard 101...

You're on the highway doing 65 mph (or more) and there are billboards along the side of the roadway. That gives you 2 or 3 seconds to catch a glimpse of 'what's on the sign' before reaching another sign. A photo, 10 words and a phone number is probably more than you can capture. If the sign company allowed a business to put more (shit) on a billboard, they failed you. Unless you video record it or pull over (both dangerous) to get the information that billboard isn't useful.
Interstate 95 in Fort Lauderdale has a huge flyover where the ocean meets the inlet. Small sailboats can pass under the bridge. There's a billboard about a local hospital with a summary of their accomplishments. I used to travel that highway on a daily basis and cannot tell you more about the sign because the words are so freaking small. Who has the time to read a paragraph at 65 mile per hour!
Point made?
Actually, I've see some work trucks for screen graphics companies with so much 'graphics' you cannot read the company name and phone number. It's all distorted into the graphical artwork.

Good example. You know what they do and the phone number is easy to see:

Bad example. Graphics too large and the phone number isn't visible from the side.

Tulsi Gabbard leaves Democratic Party, denounces it as 'elitist cabal'

Tulsi Gabbard argues the Democrats have given into 'cowardly wokeness' and 'anti-white racism'.

Former Democratic presidential candidate Tulsi Gabbard announced she left the Democratic Party on Tuesday, denouncing the organization as an "elitist cabal."

Gabbard, who retired from the House of Representatives in 2021, attacked the institution in a nearly 30-minute video posted to her YouTube account. She did not announce plans to join the Republican Party or adopt any other political affiliation, however.

"I can no longer remain in today’s Democratic Party that is now under the complete control of an elitist cabal of warmongers driven by cowardly wokeness, who divide us by racializing every issue & stoke anti-white racism," Gabbard said in an excerpt posted to Twitter.

She went on to call on other moderate Democrats to follow in her footsteps.

"I believe in a government that is of the people, by the people and for the people. Unfortunately, today's Democratic Party does not. Instead, it stands for a government that is of, by and for the powerful elite," she continued. "I'm calling on my fellow common sense, independent-minded Democrats to join me in leaving the Democratic Party."

Gabbard's announcement served as the inaugural episode of the Tusli Gabbard Show, a podcast she is now running.

Your daily dose of Donald... 10-9-2022

I've been busy lately and apologize for not keeping up with the 5 or 6 new Trump stories that hit the news channels daily. There's so much stuff that it boggles the mind. How a 'one man hurricane' can muster up so much attention.

More documents?
The last few days there has been talk that not all the documents were seized from Mar-a-Lago and there must be more. I read a comment The Guardian took video of Trump directing the loading of at least 9 boxes to a private plane at the West Palm Beach airport. The manifest was to fly to Bedminster New Jersey. It's believed they are maintenance staff at Bedminster Club and they know where the boxes are.
It wouldn't surprise me if the DOJ serve him with more search warrants to search his New York offices, clubs and other residences.

Calling all Insomniacs (myself included, lol!)...

UK Residents Can Win a Good Night’s Sleep in World’s First BnB to Offer Actual Sheep-Counting
Embedded image from another site

Located near a hillside in dreamy rural Sussex, in a field full of the fluffy farm animals, a “sleep dome” is offering the chance to dose off counting real sheep. The small glamping outfit created by a sleep technology company will host two guests and feature a luxurious double-bed with views of idyllic surroundings from all angles.

After dinner and settling in for the night, guests will be encouraged to count the numbered sheep as they walk about their paddock before gently drifting off into a blissful slumber beneath the stars. Daylight will herald a guided yoga session and a breakfast full of locally-sourced food.

The ‘Shleep Sanctuary’ was created by sleep tech company Emma Sleep, and they have launched a contest offering two people the chance to try it when it opens in summer 2023. “The power of a good night’s sleep can’t be underestimated and it’s clear the nation needs it now more than ever,” remarked Dr. Dennis Schmoltzi, CEO at Emma Sleep.

More than a fifth (21%) of those polled have struggled to sleep due to worries over the cost-of-living crisis, while 23% have been kept up fretting about work.

That's definitely something worth trying!!! wine gnite sleep
