Get Outdoors and Explore US Parks and Forests

ATTN: Nature Lovers, Adventure Seekers, and anyone who could simply use some outdoor recreation,

"This weekend you can do something that really matters and make a real difference. We are making history and we need your help to do it: Our goal is to create a comprehensive US Parks & Forests online video library. We need your help to make it happen. In some places there is less than one-tenth of one-percent of the original wilderness left in existence.

Sadly, state and federal funding has ended at many of our nations wondrous and historical wilderness areas. Add to this, the Internet currently offers little, to no information about these ancient and beautiful places. They may soon be lost and forgotten forever. Unless we act now. We need videos of all these places to help bring public attention to them. Videos of these places, will inspire millions to get outdoors and spend time in nature. Videos of these wilderness areas, will help preserve them for the next generation. More than that ...

These videos will survive digitally for ever. People in the distant future, will be able to watch videos of our nations parks and forests - hundreds of years from now - and be able to see what earth was like during our time. Those future peoples will know that you, personally existed, if you become one of the volunteers that record one of these videos.

With your help, and the help of thousands of others, we are creating the worlds first comprehensive video library of over 10,000 U.S. Parks & Forests, making them available to everyone for free, forever. If you love nature as much as we do, we are asking you to travel to parks and forests in your area and film them. Later we hope to expand our video library to wilderness areas in other parts of the world.

Next time you plan a camping or hunting trip wouldn't it be helpful to have a video to watch that was recently recorded from inside the park or preserve? Today, you might not be able to find a single sentence anywhere on the web. So let's do something about that ...

We offer a complete list of over ten thousand US Parks & Forests. In addition to that, we have made checklists that will help you get the most out of your day trip to record this historic video footage. Our staff will do the video editing. All we need you to do is, visit wilderness areas near you and record them. If possible, speak with the park ranger, interview the locals ... learn as much about the park as possible. Any and all video footage of these parks is appreciated and extremely valuable.

Submit your videos, photos, stories to us. Our team will promptly review and publish your videos and articles through our websites, and with one-hundred Facebook Groups, sharing your videos and articles with millions of nature loving individuals, and to nearly ten-thousand Twitter followers.

Meeting EU friends in Lisbon....

Surprised how EU folks seem to like the place. Moreso the South, actually. Really not as exciting as other parts of the EU. Exciting isn't always a top feature of interest for some. Funny how that works. Maine is a little boring, but I choose it over many other places as a base of living/travel operations. Perhaps Portugal will serve the same purpose for me on the Continent. Aa.

Portugal.....

Perhaps a little overly cautious in life. Love most of the EU, but in looking for a place to spend winters, as is my wont, trying to maximize pluses, and keep the major downsides to a minimum, ---keep coming up with this unassuming, high value, very unique place. Climate warm enough to escape the worst of our Maine winters. Food and music to die for, for some of us who grew up with same. Really doesn't seem all that attractive to the Jihadis, at least up to now. Great base of operations for jaunts to alternative linguistic places. The Fourth Reich, dissolving Andalusia, bombers' delight France, Brexitland. Sure, not nearly as exciting as say a Berlin, or a Paris. But I remind myself that, while I love visits to Manhattan, after 3 or 4 days, I'm ready to scoot. So the flights are booked, and will experience an ethnic Christmas. Stop over in the Azores, to check out family roots. Several EU friends may rendezvous, Inshalla. Aa.

On the water....

Normally, esp. when the girls were younger and not away at school, and mom and dad were still an item, we'd take some time to sail north for family vacation. Usually up to the lovely area near the Canadian border, where tides and currents are a challenge, and you have to bring with you all you need. Eastport and Campobello Island. Now it's Mr. Bravo and me, Have done short day sails with visitors though-several this summer. No time for longer trips with so much to do at home. So to temporize, we'll explore the striking beauty of Acadia National Park. I stupidly used to look down my snout at this place, which is not as well known as the larger ones out West. And it's only some 40 miles away as the crow flies. Drove there to watch the partial eclipse. Stunning beauty. Still some ground fish. Google it. Aa.

Meeting up with one of our long time member, Gentle Jim

Embedded image from another site

Jim and I had finally met after some failed attempts.

We had a good dinner at Buffalo Wild Wings in Jamesville, Wisconsin.

Instead of flying out to Chicago, I decided to drive just so it's easier to meet up with him.

A pleasant experience and thank you Jim for your time.

We'll meet again and maybe we can invite Mic to join us. hug

Miss U My Jamaica

Sixteen years away from my paradise island. Such a unique place to be. Whether u want to have Christian fun or sinful fun, its there.

Street parties from 10pm till rooster crows at dawn. Or dance inside a houseparty or a club.

Church time- people get filled with the Holy Spirit, take their shoes off and dance from one corner to the next. Or on the ground shaking filled with the Holy Ghost. This you will see mostly at Protestant churches. Good and real spiritual fun.

Wide variety of delicious seafood and jerk chicken and pork with festival or roasted breadfruit. Yummy! !

Crystal clear golden sandy beaches. Numerous hotel chains.

Tranquil rivers and waterfalls.
Historic sites.

I just love you Jamaica and want to be back with my kids soon as I can and maybe I will never leave again.

Calm yourselves and be crime free. Though crime is everywhere, you must not allow the world to degrade our unique talented nation.

Be proud of who you are, strong, black, proud, straightforward. Direct from Africa we came as slaves to toil in the canefields from dawn til dusk.

We are better now. We have seen and learned. We are not fools.

The friendliest set of people on the planet, only if they could get to know us before they judge us.

God Bless Jamaica- Land Of Wood And Water.rolling on the floor laughing head banger applause heart beating teddybear cheering kiss

Age and mileage, please

I’m looking for a specific kind of vehicle, and suddenly noticed a certain familiarity about my list. See if you can spot it.

Not too young - they’re too expensive.
Not too old - they’re too high maintenance
Number of owners - lots is a definite eyebrow-raiser
Fuel consumption - how heavy a drinker?
Performance when the going is tough
Comfort - definitely important
Looks - don't mind a bit tatty or dented, but not rusty

And I wouldn’t really want a vehicle which coughed, spluttered and emitted clouds of smoke when started up on a cold morning.

Yup. Very like a singles checklist rolling on the floor laughing

At least with vehicles I can check them on DVLA (our vehicle website) and see when they last had a roadworthy test. One possible turned out to be 10 years older than the ad said, and had 100K more on the clock. That’s a bit familiar too laugh

Any advice? On vehicles, I mean, but all the funnier if they relate to singles too grin

Maratika Namobuddha Lumbini Buddhist Tour - Healing & Meditation....

Last week we did a 10 days trip in Nepal. We got a group coming from different countries and collected in Kathmandu. We started up our Buddhist Tour on 10th of July from kathmandu to Maratika -260 kilometer/8 hours drive with 4WD Japanese jeep. In Maratika, we spent 2 nights and we did a wonderful meditation in Manjushree cave. It was such a powerful cave(spiritually). Then we came back to kathmandu then did a sightseeing with a wonderful tour guide in world heritage sites in kathmandu. Then took breathtaking scenic flight to Lumbini to the birth place of Lord Buddha. Spent 2 nights there too and back in Kathmandu with the same sort of flight. Then we went to NamoBuddha 2 hours drive in one of the loveliest Buddhist pilgrimage sites. All the tours we did with wonderful meditation and lovely healing in different monasteries and caves. heart beating heart beating heart beating heart beating heart beating heart beating
