I Spit on Your Grave
2010 ?/ Horror/Thriller.

Makes me think how easily the human mind can be manipulated, from the girl's perspective the revenge and killing is of course justified. Humans worked a long way to reach the point where a relatively fair court in a society is competently run, isn't the life long curse of rapist and years of jail time more of a punishment than a pain that lasted only minutes to these men?

The instant satisfaction is the beast inside that our reasons honed throughout the millenniums learning to overcome, and the foundation of our civilized world, by simply letting it out one might be able to argue that the girl is then not too much different from the beasts the men in the movie were, or more precisely the character Mathew, who was basically manipulated, made or forced (lured to become the beast he initially wasn't) to commit the crime our protagonist killed in cold blood for revenge.

In a way, isn't the satisfaction most people found in this movie the kind of lure to our inner beasts that our reasons are trying so hard to fight against, in a way similar to the evils the men in the movie are, which our sense of justice and civility despises?

Weak girl became bad a** after being taunted, played, and eventually raped by a gang of boys and captured and murdered everyone of them brutally one by one.

What is an example of sadism?
Sadism is defined as a desire to inflict pain on others, especially for s*xual gratification, or is defined as getting pleasure from being extremely cruelty. Enjoying the act of causing pain on your lover for s*xual gratification is an example of sadism.

Explanation: Sadistic people understand only one language: power. They don’t know empathy, they don’t know respect. They know only domination and they respect only pain & fear. They are social predators. You don’t negotiate with a predator, you either flee it or tame it, or you die trying.

Are sadistic people psychopaths?

Studies have also found that sadistic personality disorder is the personality disorder with the highest level of comorbidity to other types of psychopathological disorders. In contrast, sadism has also been found in patients who do not display any or other forms of psychopathic disorders.

Ohio Governor to sign bill allowing armed school employees

This is such great news!

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — Ohio school districts could begin arming employees as soon as this fall under legislation approved by Republican lawmakers and set to be signed by GOP Gov. Mike DeWine.

Democrats said the proposal, which is optional for schools, sends the wrong message a week after the massacre of 19 children and two teachers at an elementary school in Uvalde, Texas. Republicans say the measure could prevent such shootings. Lawmakers fast-tracked the legislation to counter the impact of a court ruling that said, under current law, armed school workers would need hundreds of hours of training.

The bill will protect children by ensuring instruction is specific to schools and including significant scenario-based training, DeWine said late Wednesday in announcing his support.

The measure is opposed by major law enforcement groups, gun control advocates, and the state’s teachers’ unions, which asked DeWine to veto the measure. It’s supported by a handful of police departments and school districts.

Under the latest version of the bill, school employees who carry guns would need up to 24 hours of initial training, then up to eight hours of requalification training annually.

DeWine, who is expected to sign the bill later this month, also announced that the state’s construction budget will provide $100 million for school security upgrades in schools and $5 million for upgrades at colleges.

We all make mistakes!

One of the things I've learned since I was a kid is that we all make mistakes. And the size of the mistake matters very little as long as: 1 you realize you were wrong, 2 you admit you were wrong, 3 you want or are willing to correct the mistake you made and 4 you know how to apologize and you know how to be forgiven. On the other hand, I have learned that in order for people around you to be able to forgive you, you must first analyze the mistake you made and think about whether you could forgive yourself if you were in their place. And I always said, "If you have the power to forgive yourself, and other people will be able to forgive you, you just have to know how to ask for forgiveness in their own way." Sometimes our forgiveness comes from ourselves for the first time.
Thank you for your attention, let's be better and more forgiving.

Salt

I was taught that salt is inorganic. I believe the contrary. I think it comes from the decomposed plants that become soil which in turn goes to the oceans.
Instead of throwing the water that drains from the plant pot. One can collect it and check for the salt content.
