Who You Are ?

You've ran the distance, but you're still in the race
You stayed strong and faced, what you had to face
You held on tight, what else could you do ?
Even when there was nothin' more, worth holdin' onto
Those ones that you once thought, surely knew you best
Are now the very ones, who have put you to the test
So how can they profess to know you, at your core ?
When they don't have a clue, of who you are !
And there's nothing else, that could ever matter more
Than them not even knowing, who you truly are !

You always thought, somehow you could change it all
You kept on standing firm, when you only wanted to fall
You just held on, for what else could you do ?
When all you ever wanted, was a strong arm holdin' you
Those same ones you thought, that surely knew you best
Are the very ones, who can't see, your soul too needs rest
When they don't even know you, at your core
How can they ever really know, just who you are ?
And what else, could ever possibly hurt you more ?
Then them not never, ever knowing, who you are...

Yes, you went the distance, you've came so far
But how can they ever know, just who you are ?

About this poem:
That age old question, that we all have asked. Does anyone really know, who we truly are ? Often not even, our own selves, or the ones that we often thought truly did !

An Herbal Tea

I just first sampled a healthy tea
Acknowleged to be the cat's meaw
It reeks of grass and tastes like crap
And it makes one feel like a cow

SOMEWHERE

Somewhere in a wild where hunter kills
A bird cries our for it's mate
The sun is setting behind the hills
And it's never been gone so late
Somewhere in the heavens an angel sings
And unless being sent by the Lord
He may not interfere in earthly things
And raise his bow or his sword
Somewhere in my heart tender longings yet
Still endure through the pain and stress
For a sweetheart I have not met
And the one I may not posess

The Options

To forgive,to move on,to shut down in fear
Or to leave for another place
It's all in the stories we get to hear
And the options we get to face
Depending upon what we think is right
A different path will unfold
Some awaits destiny dazzling and bright
While others so bitter and cold
Yet if we neglect to learn from the past
Do nothing but whine and complain
Life will insist that we simply must
And teach us again and again

Cold thorns

I came from heat were the summer is no treat
Stepped off the plane and froze my feet
Just getting to a warm place to eat
Felt like forever, put me back in the heat
I finally got warm no clothing was torn
A tear was a dare even my socks over my feet
The cold was like thorns removing all the heat
I must walk my dogs in this cold without heat
Along came a dutch girl looking like she was warm
How can it be so cold and she doesn't feel a thorn
She was walking so warm and very cozy almost hot
Like slow motion she moved, scarf swaying I must stop
That day I learned something and I grew a great grin
It can look like it's cold even feel like it too
It's really not true the cold isn't in you
When I arrived at my home I'd told what I'd seen
And I still tell that story to all it could mean
The cold is not a friend but to me it's not mean
I become like that dutch girl the heat won't beckon me

Live in Holland and enjoy it.

Stars beneath my feet.

I have walked on the stars of the streets of Hollywood
For so many years I had fun sun and had tears
a disgusting environment Hollywood has become
would the star on the side walk survive the days
or would the farthest west be the first ones to pay

Politicians that say they love but plow us in the ground
lie and cheat and all the time eating the food that is mine
our children go hungry our live turn to spoil and yet we toil
While they sit and watch in splendor how they did render
The world at their feet even people that they can eat

My fist thoughts are why but you know as well as I
You see the world on your door step now and you know how
Our media will shock you if you just keep it on
Don’t shut the world out see what happening in your yard
Stand up high with an iron fist in the sky while you can and say
WITHOUT LIBERTY I CAN’T KEEP MY WAY OF LIFE LET ME BE

About this poem:
Walking at 2 in the morning got these thoughts of Hollywood. Don't miss it because I know what the retro Hollywood was and that's what I miss.

The junk collector`s bedtime story

It was found on the street, and then put in the trunk. And it topped off a full load of nothing but junk.Though it no longer ran,but was so very clean,`twas the junkiest junk that ever was seen. When I got it home, they said "see if it starts." Then I had noticed, its missing some parts. So I then looked around for some parts I could use, then I had thought, how much time could I lose? So I looked at the clock and I found lots of stuff. Then I had wondered,is all this enough? I got it to work.It worked well but was old.I decided to keep it unless it got sold. Many things have I found, all that had been thrown out,and that`s what this story was really about.

About this poem:
I wrote "The junk collector`s bedtime story"simply to put into words what is one favorite American pastime. As a part time flea market vendor,I just hate to see anything good going to waste. If I find stuff that nobody else wants,I will find out why they got rid of it.If I can fix it,OK.I might use it,keep it,sell it,or trade it.If nothing else, use it for parts to repair other stuff. Some stuff that`s no good I might still save to use as an example to match up replacement parts. If I find something and then discover that its` completely worthless,I can always just put it back where I found it.What really gets me is that people throw stuff out 5 minutes before they need it,only for me to fix it and sell it right back to them. The resale value is ultimately, only as much as what people are willing to pay.But if you have a lot of good used items,if you sell it for a cheap price, you won`t be able to sell it fast enough.

You don't see me...

I'm the sun in your eyes, but you don't see me, I wear no disguise yet you don't see me. I'm a total surprise and you don't see me... You don't see me.

from the Bible 1 Cor 13, 4-7

Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
Love never fails. But whether there are prophecies, they will fail; whether there are tongues, they will cease; whether there is knowledge, it will vanish away. For we know in part and we prophesy in part. But when that which is perfect has come, then that which is in part will be done away.

Still Free to a Good Home

Looking for happiness, looking for love,
Looking for someone with help from above,
Seeking a partner who's loving and kind,
Seeking that someone to be on my mind.

Where are those people who just have it all,
That know how to party and just have a ball?
The people who have that most wonderful way,
Who can make you feel happy and brighten your day.

I'm looking for someone to love and admire
To share all life's pleasures and set me afire.
Where have they gone to, where can they be?
Perhaps they're not looking for someone like Me!
