Absolutely it does. I remember a girl once telling me that her dream man needed to look rough and ready and also smooth and sophisticated. I told her that it would be extremely difficult to merge those two very disparate styles, I'm not sure that's a look which physically exists. Anyway, I wore denim and took a thesaurus on the date.

It seems a lot of females & males do the quick look through the photographs and visually/mentally tick their box but overall this usually leads to dis-satisfaction in the long run as most of the time looks are not always important....its a full package required not just the tasty bits

Is appearance so important for making you judge bad the whole person?
you won't judge him badly if he's smartly turned out and clean, and you won't know the whole person when you see them first so of course you're gonna be unimpressed or put off if he doesn't have a good appearance.
Some girls prefer to see a guy in a suit, others prefer to see a guy in biker, sporty or casual gear. And vice versa for the guys.
Some men are drawn to women who dress 'scantily' revealing a lot, others prefer the more subtle, prettily dressed look, or the sharp dressed look.
But most guys prefer to see a woman looking clean and presentable at least and won't be impressed if she's not.
If you know him already and he comes to meet you one day looking very rough and unkempt you're not gonna be impressed with him but you probably won't hold it against him either and just ask or wonder why he looks a mess. Unless you're the bossy type and give him hell for it.

I voted YES , because appearance includes a lot of things, not only faces,
appearance could surely reveal imprtant aspects of one's personality. I might not judge him badly , but maybe that would give me some second thoughts, people who don't carry on a neglected look are surely people who have self respect.

Yes appearance definetely matters. Taste plays a major role however,,some women wouldnt look twice at a guy that maybe other women would,,bald guys do it for some and not others,tall,dark,fair,stubble,unshaven etc etc.
But if you stink of B.O,,havent cut youre toenails for ten year and you have so much hair only youre eyes are visible,,then youre gonna struggle even if you are Mr Clooney or Mr Pitt or the nicest man on earth...

Many people go for those they are attracted to either facially or physically neglecting what the person is actually like in character.

Exactly,, clealiness is one important aspect pf appearance ,, i would surely not go near someone who looks like Brad Pitt in homeless man aspect, or else have to soak him into the tub of disinfectant before the cuddles,,

A respect for one's self and for the others by extension, you won't oblige others to accept you despite his/her golden heart,, with such a smelly environs,(take for example in the public transports it's unsupportable) smells like hell during the rush,, some says ,,,
