Its nice not to need any drugs at all and to be healthy but some people need drugs to live a normal life. Blood pressure, diabetic, pain management, mental health issues, you name it. There would be more than a few walking corpses if all drugs were suddenly took away overnight.
We have that problem here with moose. Lot of accidents because of it. Difference is a deer will ruin the front of your car but a moose is big and heavy enough to come on over the bonnet and in through the windshield. They can get over 1000 lbs. Big enough to kill everyone aboard the car.
Ideally yes. I hope we can reach a stage where this would be the norm.
Sadly, its not a ideal world. Sometimes you have to take what is available. My province is not rich and a lot of people here live at the edge of poverty. A lot of those people depend on hunting a moose during the fall to have enough food to get through the winter. Its hard to take a animal's life but its also hard to watch your kids go hungry too.
I agree with you 100%, hopefully one day it will be the norm.
I don't eat a lot of meat these days. I'm not vegan or anything like that, I just know a few things that happens at farms and slaughter houses and its not nice.
As for hunting, if someone goes in the woods and shoots a deer to bring home to feed their family, I have no problem with that. If someone shoots a deer, takes the rack and leaves the body to rot, that I do have a problem with. If you are going to take the life of an animal, respect it in the way the natives did and use its body for substance, don't just leave it.
