Let's not forget that ALL illegals in America are not from Mexico crossing the borders, who should be prosecuted and deported...

BTW, the "fear" of the Lord is the beginning of ALL KNOWLEDGE!

RE: god fearing the number 1 most used word in female dating profiles

Please be enlightened: It would be very helpful if one understood what is meant by the phrase "God fearing"... it has nothing to do with culture, and it doesn't mean to "fear God" as you understand the word "fear" to mean, as being scared of God, or frighten of God, but to the contrary... a "God fearing" man or woman is a person who respect, honors, and reverence God for who He is; he/she is a person who is a Christian to the best of his/her abilities who tries to daily obey, follow, and live a life-style according to God's standards, precepts, principles, concepts, and statues that God has written in His Word as to how a Christian person is to live a godly life pleasing to God, and not according to man's worldly standards, principles, precepts, etc.professor

RE: Please don't hate Muslims if you do

Nadeem, I understand your plea very clearly, and I respect what you'reasking... but I must ask, if you are making this same plea to those terrorist groups who HAPPEN TO BE MUSLIMS? Why are they hating and killing those who are not of the Muslim faith? Killing Christians and other Muslims without a cause in the name of the Muslim religion just because people do not believe in the Muslim religion?

I think if you offered this same plea to those who are claiming to be Muslims and are killing innocent people, maybe you will get a better response.

Nevertheless, I offer the same general appeal (plea) to the Muslim terrorists as you have offered on this site.. ...Please don't hate and kill innocent Christians and others who DO NOT believe in your religion, as you are doing and proven to have such hatred in your hearts... this is my general appeal (plea) to all the Muslim terrorists in Muslims countries and everywhere.

BTW, Nadeem, I think your English and writing skills are just FINE... you have expressed yourself rather clearly.. problem is, those who think differently, don't have very good READING skills thus, they lack comprehension in understanding as to what is written.teddybear

laugh No, BigBama there is much more after death than just dying here on this earth. Our physical bodies may become worm food as you say, it returns back to the dust from which it was created.

Our spiritual bodies (spirit/soul) retruns back to from which it also came, the breath of GOD if it is not corrupt... the righteous ( Christians) inherit the kingdom of God and living eternity with Him in our glorified bodies. God breathed life into us giving us His life therefore our uncorruptable spirit/soul returns back to Him.

If a person is corrupt (an unrighteous sinner) their spirit/soul is cast out from God and goes to the one the sinner has obeyed, who is satan to live eternity in torment.

The believing Christian lives forever in the new kingdom with a glorified body, and the sinner lives forever with satan in his kingdom forever in a corrupt body spirit/soul tormented without rest.

Hope this helps...

Friend Request...

CS admin... Just thought I would perhaps share with you a suggestion for incoming notification of friend requests. I think it to be a great idea if the incoming friend requests would show in our mail or have its own link on the dashboard that lights up red just as when we receive mail or flowers.

I think it would serve a better purpose, because I have had many new members to contact me asking why I rejected their request, or stating that they didn't receive my request or that they never saw such a request.

I don't know how long the friend request stays on the My Home page to the right, but there are times when I have not seen the request, as I seldom visit my home page, and go directly to my mail, or the blogs, or the forums without ever checking for friend requests on My Home page.

Thanks you and hope you will consider making such a change...handshake

thumbs up thank you Stringman, and what Jesus is saying is that Christians are judge sin and NOT the inner motives of another person. We are to use God's standards of judgment by which we judge sin,and not our own. Judge according to what God calls sin, not what man THINK are sin... but where is the judgment outside of the turth og God's Word pricking the hearts of those who feel they are being judge... which they are not by me,but by God's Word of Truth.

Paul says this aboutjudging: Do you not know that the saints will judge the world? And if the world will be judged by you, are you unworthy to judge the smallest matters? Do you not know that we shall judge angels? How much more, things that pertain to this life? If then you have judgments concerning things pertaining to this life, do you appoint those who are least esteemed by the church to judge?

This is an issue that has confused many people. On one hand, we are commanded by the Lord Jesus, “Do not judge, or you too will be judged” (Matthew 7:1). On the other hand, the Bible also exhorts us to beware of evildoers and false prophets and to avoid those who practice all kinds of evil. How are we to discern who these people are if we do not make some kind of judgment about them?

Christians are often accused of "judging" whenever they speak out against a sinful activity. However, that is not the meaning of the Scripture verses that state, "Do not judge." There is a righteous kind of judgment we are supposed to exercise—with careful discernment (John 7:24). When Jesus told us not to judge (Matthew 7:1), He was telling us not to judge hypocritically. Matthew 7:2-5 declares, "For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you. Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother's eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? How can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye’ when all the time there is a plank in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye." What Jesus was condemning here was hypocritical, self-righteous judgments of others.

In Matthew 7:2-5, Jesus warns against judging someone else for his sin when you yourself are sinning even worse. That is the kind of judging Jesus commanded us not to do. If a believer sees another believer sinning, it is his Christian duty to lovingly and respectfully confront the person with his sin (Matthew 18:15-17). This is not judging, but rather pointing out the truth in hope—and with the ultimate goal—of bringing repentance in the other person (James 5:20) and restoration to the fellowship. We are to speak the truth in love (Ephesians 4:15). We are to proclaim what God's Word says about sin. 2 Timothy 4:2 instructs us, "Preach the Word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage — with great patience and careful instruction." We are to "judge" sin, but always with the goal of presenting the solution for sin and its consequences—the Lord Jesus Christ (John 14:6).

Jac, This article is for your edification, and to answer your questions that are not correct when it comes to getting closer to God...

Question: "How can I have a closer relationship with God?"

Answer: Developing a closer relationship with God is an admirable goal and reflects a heart that is truly reborn, for only those who are in Christ desire a closer relationship with God. We must also understand that in this life we will never be as close to God as we ought to be or desire to be. The reason for this is lingering sin in our lives. This is not a deficiency on God’s part, but on ours; our sin remains a barrier to the full and complete fellowship with God which will be realized once we’re in glory.

Even the apostle Paul, who had about as close a relationship as one could probably have with God in this life, still longed for a closer relationship: “Indeed, I count every thing as loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have suffered the loss of all things and count them as rubbish, in order that I may gain Christ and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which comes through faith in Christ” (Philippians 3:8-9). No matter where we are in our walk with Christ, we can always have a closer walk, and, even glorified in heaven, we will have all eternity to grow in our relationship with the Lord.

There are five basic things we can do to have a closer relationship with God.

The first thing
we can do to have a closer relationship with God is to make a daily habit of confessing our sin to Him. If sin is the barrier in our relationship with God, then confession removes that barrier. When we confess our sins before God, He promises to forgive us (1 John 1:9), and forgiveness is what restores a relationship that has been strained. We must keep in mind that confession is more than simply saying, “I’m sorry for my sin, God.” It is the heartfelt contrition of those who recognize that their sin is an offense to a holy God. It is the confession of one who realizes that his sin is what nailed Jesus Christ to the cross. It is the cry of the publican in Luke 18 who said, “God be merciful to me a sinner!” As King David wrote, “The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise” (Psalm 51:17).

The second thing we can do to have a closer relationship with God is to listen when God speaks. Many today are chasing a supernatural experience of hearing God’s voice, but the apostle Peter tells us that we “have something more sure, the prophetic word, to which you will do well to pay attention as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts” (2 Peter 1:19). That “more sure prophetic word” is the Bible. In the Bible, we “hear” God’s voice to us. It is through the “God-breathed” Scriptures that we become “thoroughly equipped for every good work” (2 Timothy 3:16-17). So if we want to grow closer to God, we should read His Word regularly. In reading His Word, we are “listening” to God speak through it by his Spirit who illuminates the Word to us.

The third thing we can do to have a closer relationship with God is to speak to Him through prayer. If reading the Bible is listening to God speak to us, speaking to God is accomplished through prayer. The Gospels often record Jesus secreting Himself away to commune with His Father in prayer. Prayer is much more than simply a way to ask God for things we need or want. Consider the model prayer that Jesus gives His disciples in Matthew 6:9-13. The first three petitions in that prayer are directed toward God (may His name be hallowed, may His kingdom come, may His will be done).

Sorry, Jac, Yes, I reported the strife that came to my thread, and spoke with CS staff, and as I said I'm glad they deleted it..

Please explain as to what you consider judging on this thread or the Vanity thread. Especially the Vanity thread because it was the direct words of God that were quoted, and all who did not agree called God a liar for His words, not mine! laugh That's what makes me laugh and is so funny... when nonbelievers try to tell me what God says, and what He does and doesn't allow, and they have no clue about God, or His Word... laugh... . Don't know what religion you were raised in, but No there is no such commandment!

A nonbeliever can't tell a Christian believer not one things about God or His word, they are NOT qualified. Who told you Christians are not suppose to righteously judge sin? Christians know from studying God's Word, that when Jesus sets up His earthly kingdom we will be judging angels and others, so where does God teach that Christian are not to judge.. if we can't properly judge matters pertaining to this earth, how will we righteously judge matter pertaining to heavenly matters? That's a lie of the devil the world would like for Christians to believe to keep the focus off their sins, but God never said such...

I try to figure out why nonbelievers are on this thread if you don't believe in God? Why are nonbelievers so angry and hostile, well I know why, because when the word of God's truth comes, it pricks the hearts of those who are not living in the truth... that's the Word of God from the mouth of God...

Anyway, I have an article for you to read, cuzz, I'm tired of talking... but if you're asking questions for knowledge, that's difference, because of your comments I know your intent. BUT, No one can stop what God has written, and all mockery comments will have to answer to God, not me... I'm not easily intimidated by anyone or anything, and no one on this site can stop me whether I'm on this site or not... nothing can come up against the truth except the truth its self.

This thread asks a question for discussion, and the devil didn't like that, so he sent you guys to do his biding... but it ain't working... laugh my private mail box is lit up with people contacting me about how childish and silly the behavior is on this thread from all of you, they're wondering what's up with you people... yes, its rather funny to me rolling on the floor laughing ... but you must realize you people on the forums are not the only people who are reading this thread, and many who read these forums are not even members of this site... so I have none of you in mind when I post a topic... trying to challenge me with God's Word that you don't believe in and your personally attacks toward me, this also isn't working... but everything said against me and God's Word, as it is written, you are judging and condemning your own selves with your own words.

Oh yes, I almost forgot... Jesus did warn all Christian that if the nonbelievers hated Him, we too, should expect nonbelievers to hate us when we speak His Word

God bless... and good nite, this is going nowhere fast. you guys are ranting and raging about what God has written and spoken, and you can't change one thing except yourselves.. confused sleep

Jac, thank you for your comment. Why would you ask about the Vanity thread?:confuse:... surely, you already know the Vanity thread is no more, just as the other thread is no more either... nevertheless, after I made contact with the staff of CS about the unnecessary strife that was going on the thread so its no more... I'm rather glad its gone...

As for your comment "claiming one is closer to God than another"... Sorry, but God doesn't decide who gets closer to Him, we decide we desire to be closer to Him and then take actions to do those spiritual things that are required to be closer to Him in obedience. He exhorts us to draw closer to Him, and He will draw closer to us... We make the choice to be close or afar off from Him...

Hope this helps....

IF...

Allthegood, respectfully... thank you, but I did not invite Berry to read or comment on my thread with her negative comments. She had a choice to either read it and move on, or not read it at all... Did she not? Her derogatory comment was NOT necessary...

Lecture??? I think you have this all wrong... whose lecturing her, I am responding to her own words addressed toward me in the same spirit she has spoken to me, this has nothing to do with being or not being a Christian. She started the process of the lecture by coming on this thread speaking negative and derogatory remarks spewing out of her mouth toward me and Crayon because of our beliefs... She made the choice! And now you're asking me to be sympathetic toward her??? confused that's rather backwards isn't it? as if now its my fault she's going through problems, yet, she is allowed to speak her trash toward me, and I keep silent... I do say! Have you advised her to leave this thread, since she is the one who started the strife and made personal insulting comments toward me? Hope you read her fist comment for yourself. If she leaves this thread, Maybe that is where her own love should start...? don't you think??

I'm sorry she's going through, but she came on this thread on her own will and spoke her negative insulting comments toward me and Crayon... I never sent her an invite to comment on my thread. I responded back to her in the same spirit she commented toward me.. Well, I was rather nice compared to what she spoke out toward me. I would appreciate it very much if you ask her to leave this thread. Thank you.

Her anger directed toward me for whatever her reason this isn't my concern. I have done nothing to her, or said anything about her to give her cause to speak what she has spoken out, and I refuse to be her sounding board...

QUESTION: Why do nonbelievers come on Christian's threads or blogs talking their trash and when they get told off, they start screaming foul play... Why not stay off Christians threads or blogs IF YOU DON'T LIKE WHAT IS BEING SAID! What makes it necessary for nonbelievers to be on Christians threads or blog with their foolishness and insults? Christians don't go on nonbelievers threads or blogs talking about the spiritual things of God or insulting them, but nonbelievers feel obligated to insult Christians on their threads and blog with their trash talk and expect Christians to say nothing?... what's with this?

Where is this found in Scriptures that a nonbelievers can come into a Christians space/home, speaking insults and saying what they please to the Christian, BUT, the Christian is to keep silent? No,sorry, just the opposite, Scriptures teaches, Strong man/woman can't be allowed to over power.

Thanks again, but I think you should ask Berry to get off this thread with her insults directed toward me... And stop spewing out hate and anger if she doesn't like the topic of discussion, and has nothing of substance to comment about... why make comments at ALL ?... this all surpasses my understanding? dunno

God bless angel2

Who forced or pressured you to read or post a comment on this thread?... But there is One thing I will say to you, if your righteousness DOES NOT exceed that of the Pharisees, then you've got a serious problem!

My time is of value, and I refuse to comment on anything you say because I know you're speaking out of both sides of your mouth, and you don't have a clue about what you're speaking... you're just running off your mouth. I suppose you're showing off your humbleness and meekness which has nothing to do with going to heaven... rolling on the floor laughing sad

Crayon, this is so very true. Time is getting closer everyday. If only we would do as God has asked of us, and you have posted: humble ourselves before a holy God, pray to Him for help, seek His face for answers, and turn away from our sins through repenting of our sins, God will do the rest as He has so promised, heal the land, which means He will bring HIS peace in our hearts, minds, souls, bodies, and spirits...

God has warned everybody about Israel, being unsaved, and the signs of the times, but no one seems to listen. Many think its funny and cute popping off at the mouth speaking foolish things as if they have power over themselves, saying, that it doesn't make a difference of they go to heaven or hell, and that there is neither a heaven or a hell... but when the rubber meets the road, it will make a BIG a difference and they will have a different story to tell, and for some, it will be too late. Something to think about... If... you died today, God forbid!... this very moment as you read this thread... where would you spend your eternity?

Will you spend your eternal life after death on earth (first death) in heaven living and reigning in the kingdom of God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ, with all those who have been obedient, who will live a new life in freedom of pains, sufferings, sorrows, sicknesses, and no more death, but life forevermore?

OR, will you spend your eternal life after death on earth (first death) in the kingdom of satan, living in torment with satan and all those of disobedience (second death) who have been ignorant and rejected God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ, obeying the will of satan as their father?

There are only two choices, which one would you choose?...

RE: Death Penalty

I'm for it, providing the punishment fits the crime. The one thing I don't like is, when those who are on death row must sit and wait 20 to 30 years before they are executed, this is not justice. This is inhuman treatment, as I see it.

The time limit should be reformed, and execution carried out within 5 to 10 years after sentencing, no longer. Shouldn't take that long for an appeal to take place, it should be in a timely manner plus, many cases are not waiting for appeals.

After a person has sat on death row past 10 years, I truly feel that person's sentence should be reversed to life in prison... justice cries for balance, not an improper false balance... injustice within our court system speaks loudly when a person is made to wait for years to die for a crime committed 20 or 30 years before.

RE: Why would anyone believe in a god?

uuuhh, Is this discussion about believing in a god (meaning as in idol) or are you speaking about believing in GOD the Creator of all things in heaven and on earth?dunno confused

All I know is that, it takes a "WHOSOEVER" to have true real faith to believe in GOD THE CREATOR! Therefore, if you're not a WHOSOEVER, then why worry?... you have no legit reason to have faith to believe in such a Divine Infinite Personable Being as GOD!
