Out Sometimes

Some considered life for women in KSA is like a "prison". And some also say, we women (overseas workers) here don't know how to have fun. Well, that's not actualy correct. We can do parties/get together but exclusively for women. Not always but we can. No men allowed. Recently, I have attended a pre-wedding party/birthday/despedida party for friends. We had a lot of fun. We had a lot of food, we dance, we karaoke. We party.

From where I am

Okay, I am from South East Asia and currently in the Middle East working for my hard earn cash. I've got reasons why I am here and to those close friends, they know very well my story.
I am NOT born with the silver spoon in my mouth. Hardship is not a word for me. I work diligently and enjoy my earnings as much as I do and give portions to my loved ones. Oh, that's me. NOW.

My question is, Would you hesitate to contact someone you like in here because you take consideration of his/her location?

Implied or Just a Tease

Flirting, implied interest in the other person is sincere and involves the real possibility of a s*xual relationship.

In teasing, the intent is insincere. The teaser uses personal charm (words, jokes, gestures, touch) to excite the other, exerting power over that person, but all the recipient gets is confusion, frustration, and possibly embarrassment.

Which is which? Is it okay to do either of this when you have a "serious" relationship?

Love Across the Miles

A scenario:
A man and a woman met here. They have a beautiful love affair for almost a year now. They have already met each other in person and found the connection. The man wants the woman to move in with him. The woman is willing to, BUT NOT IMMEDIATELY. She said, "I love to be with you but could you wait for me to settle down some things with my own family before I move in to have our own". She's single and no children, she just have some "lending a hand" to do. She wants to fulfill a promise to her family and she is sure she can do that in 2 years time. The man answered, "No I can't wait that long. Its now or never".

The woman was sad but she can't do anything about it. The man has said his piece and he meant it. The woman is willing to work the relationship even on long distance. She knows its not easy to keep a relationship miles away, but she is willing to try.

How about you? Would you at least try long distance love affair?

I did those ... mistakes!

"We all make mistakes. Everyone. All the time. Thats what life is all about, making mistakes, accepting that it was a mistake, learning from it, and coming out the other side a stronger, more mature person. The people who struggle in life are those who think they didn't make a mistake. Those are the people who refuse to learn, and go through life blind to the real world. Thats not you, or me. We have learned, and that makes us good people!"

Thank you D.

No worries

"No matter how dire a situation may be, there are always some positives we can find in it. It’s our unwillingness to look at them that blind us to the brighter sides".

Everytime I watch this video, I'll come into tears.

A true inspiration!

Raising Hope

Not the american tv show, folks.

HOPE itself. I have always been holding on to it. And hope you are too, in all aspects. Expect with confidence. And also you have to do your part.

Hope is cultivated when we have a goal in mind, determination that a goal can be reached, and a plan on how to reach those goals and finally do the action.

Happy HOPEFUL Wednesday Everyone!

The Silent Treatment

In some instances (many), I have been rejected. Any kind of rejection, no matter if it's in love, career, friends, or anything else, is difficult to bear. Rejection is definitely not a fun thing. But, upsetting as it is, the more we deal with it, the more we grow as people.

I had acknowledge that anyone can be rejected, no matter who they are. And how we react to rejection varies from person to person. When I get rejected in any way, I just think of a new door opening after the old door is slammed. Maybe I did miss out on something good, the new door could be much better. Keep going.

Nope, I am not rejected (romantically) lately folks. I was, few months back but I got over it. Thanks to you.

Different Time Zone

Its 10:00AM, March 1, 2012; A slow, cold, windy (and hopefully no sand storm) Thursday in KSA. Just had a thought of home and wondering what my family is doing right now. KSA is 5 hours ahead of the Philippines, so it is already 3PM where home is. At the moment maybe my father is on his duty (barangay official) or if he is off duty, on his siesta or if he is not doing those two, he is on his little farm and talking to his rice plants, fruit trees and vegetables. My mother has just finish preparing the merienda (snacks) she have to sell on her small store in front of our house. My siblings are working and some are in school.

I am just thinking what they are doing this time of day, when I am about to get some work done and will be posting my blog.

How amazing isn't it? Where here I am still in the morning, and some in the afternoon and will soon be ready for night. But some still on the night of the previous day gaining some sleep and rest.

Whatever your time zone is, hope you are having a fine moment.

Having a CRUSH

Many people (and I am one of them) go through the experience of having a crush on a person with whom a relationship could be or never be possible. sigh

In real life, I can have crushes through physical appearance first (first I will see), then if we have something in common (interests or the likes) and good personality and I am comfortable having him around. I admire those persons that staying humble despite of their accomplishments.

I know I am having a crush on someone when I get excited when he is around, seems my heart beat faster, my pulse races and breathing increases, and I can describe him (maybe not in detail but I can) when he is not around. And he occupies a great deal of my thoughts and imagine what would be like to have him near me and having crush on me too. Ah, I am daydreaming now. daydream

So, what make you have a crush to someone and how do you know if you have a crush?

I am just having a "crush" day. smitten

Order Please

Being the eldest, I was raised and thought to be independent and be a role model (I try to be, lol) to my younger siblings. During the weekends I would gather my brothers and sisters for the simple responsibilities we have to finish before we go for play.

I had to go to a higher education institution where it is very far from home. Live alone (I mean away from my family) in a dormitory (not really alone bec I have a roommate with me). I've learned more. Do laundry and fold them, do the cleaning and the organizing of my place and make sure that it is well kept and so on...

Then, I decided to find my luck abroad, work. And again I am not "living alone". Not just one but few roommates. More than enough to mess up the whole villa we are living. As grown individuals, esp us women, we are expected to have that kind of order and neatness in our certain places. Example after preparing something in the kitchen, we are expected to clean up the clutter and sweep and wipe the stain on the floor. A simple sweeping of the floor just to remove some dust from yesterday's mess. Remove the fallen human hairs on the bathroom strainer so as not to clog the pipe. And so on and so on... But there are some people who don't know those simple things. And they seem they didn't care if their surroundings is full of clutter. Sometimes didn't care to wash the dishes and the insects (if there is) might come crawling on them. barf I really can't understand how they can tolerate such chaos. And they are just sitting around watching tv and surfing the internet. doh

As we become adults, maybe, it would show how we have been raised and or upbringing have a deal on how we organize and do our personal choices of orderliness, neatness and cleanliness. And it affects to the whole as a person.

And it is said that cleanliness is associated with hygiene, then I know and conclude ... conversingmumbling .. (keeping that to myself)... grin

Now, girls we have to do the organizing and we expect you guys to help (IF, just a little maybe, don't want to be demanding there). grin

Now, men would you want women who keep your home neat and in order or the other way around? cheers

Valentines Party! YAY!

Okay, Its Valentines Day. But I can't really think of something romantic to be the title of this blog. grin

Anything plan for today? Me, no. Just work and after that will go to the shop and buy myself a simple gift. And what else? No, nothing much. Just the same ordinary day for me. Called my family at home this morning and glad to know they are all doing well.

A friend here and a blogger, supposed to be organizing the party for Valentines but asked me and a friend also to kick off early because he will be home late. So now, might as well start the party now. Post whatever you want to post in here. Do whatever you like to do. Comment anything that you like to send to somebody. Anything. Feel free. You are all welcome to join!
