Food for thought

I ask this as a simple exchange of ideology.
In the western world, the idea of eating cat or dog or insects and rodents is considered out of the norm.
Ask 99.9 percent of the population here if they would eat a cat or a dog and they will turn green and want to vomit.
What most people do not realize is it was actually quite common for dog and cat to be consumed in the America's long before white people invaded.
Native tribes have been known to eat Dogs and puppies and large cat (mountain lion) it was a staple of their diet and the norm during hard times.
I have actually eaten cat and dog and do not find them to be terrible tasting at all except dog is a bit greasy and grainy to me.
Cat I have found the meat texture to be a cross between chicken and rabbit with a slightly sweet taste.
Now I know I will get people complaining and saying snarky and rude shit on this in comments but let me ask this do you complain to the Hindu for not eating cow or the Muslim for not eating pork?
In the long run what is more important that cherished family pet or staying alive with a full stomach.
Now there will be people on here that will say I would never I would rather starve these are the people that have never truly been hungry in their life.
So the general and original question stands have we as a society gone so far that we empathize with our food in an unhealthy way?
Can anyone here logically and intelligently say why it is wrong to eat a cat or a dog other than their feelings?
Or have you all lived the hype of civilization so long that you have lost connection with your primal self?
The world even in this day and age is a horrid place if you do not believe me then look at India they still have leprosy there.
So have you been Americanized by your television by what others tell you is unacceptable?
Have you succumbed to the idea that everyone can afford to run to the corner market and buy their daily bread?
Would you eat your cherished fido if it meant living would you feed it to your children if it meant they lived or would you say oh don't worry sweetie mommy/daddy will figure it out while they die and their stomach distends?

what type of tea do you drink?

Growing up here in the states Coffee was always the norm in my home it still is but we also had what they call sweet tea in the south basically it is black tea with enough sugar to give you diabetes now that I am older and have traveled I have been trying new teas and I have to say my favorite so far is Russian Smoked black very full body tea with a nice smokey aftertaste but I only put raw sugar (unrefined) or honey in it but I also enjoy a good herbal tea as well what do you all find appealing in a tea?

That which doesn't kill you

Is probably just enough to turn you into a closet case raging alcoholic they say it makes you stronger but in all honesty what strength has anyone ever gotten from being hurt what so ever? In my experience, it makes you jaded hateful mistrustful and in some cases spiteful and mean dunno So how does adversity really make anyone stronger? How does that daily kick to the chin make one a better person? What is it in human nature that makes them be better from pain confused As a person that grew up in a very abusive home,I learned who I did not want to be but did it make me stronger? I think it didn't in some ways it made me a neurotic mess in others a heartless callous bastard, Having been married and divorced because of her infidelity did that make me stronger? Not really but it made me see what I did not want and will not tolerate at all so I ended up distrusting and jaded. What they should say is what doesn't kill you throughout your life will make you stronger because you learn what is good and bad you learn to stand up for what you believe in and most importantly you learn who you are deep down inside

Almost time

This month is the last month I will be here for awhile will still check in off and on though.
Next month I am saying feck it all and going walkabout or playing the gypsy tramp to others
I have decided that there is way too much to see out there and I am sick of sitting here being stagnant growing old and complacent or going blind looking at the same thing time and again also next month will be my 35th birthday so I figure why the hell not?
It will be a good time to live and learn about myself and see the world I live in from a different perspective cheers

You and I

To waste the day in pure bliss
Silence drops
Exquisiteness
Such an aquamarine in pale blue sky
Memories abound
Smile and sigh
Emphatic tragedy
Inside I cry
Wondering wistfully why
Spring has sprang
Fall has fell
Summer slept
Winter did quell
Outspoken insanity
Lucid imaginings
Limpid pools of exquisite radiance
Dance Macabre along such empty halls
Brokenly waiting for you and I

Just a poem what do you read from it what emotion and thought does it bring you?
