I respect your faith. The true trust in God is when everything goes wrong over a long period of time. I never sweat the litle things like wanting a partner or loss of material things.

when you ask god for something where do you focus on his/her presence? inside your heart? in nature somewhere? where is the best focus while in prayer? thanks in advance!

Serindipty, what I do is sit in a chair close my eyes it a quiet room for 20 minutes and after a few minutes my heart (or solar plexus) will feel warm, to me that is what some call the connection from the concious to the subconcious, or I say Jesus Christ connecting me with God. (some people dont like to talk about Jesus with this because of issues but I dont have that problem) I will imagine beautiful scenes like oceans or mountain streams or just being in space observing stars and planets. Sometimes I get a feeling of something to do or a vision while this is going on, what I do is try to generate a feeling of love for God (some people will say the universe) you will get a feeling back of Gods love for you.

After the 20 minutes is over (i use a timer) open your eyes, it will be like you are entering a new world. Follow your intuition or hunches. If you praise and follow your hunches more will come and guide you to what you should do.

AMEN, God wants all of us to be happy and will bless us all if we just believe. in our faith we must trust that god will deliver blessings upon us if we are obedient to his love. We have to expect good things to happen in our life, turn our heads and hearts from negative thoughts, the evils of the world. I thank God daily for what he has done for me, the promises he has given me, the road to happiness. God bless you ray and all of you at CS.
